Ok, I'll be short in this one.

No need to make panic, really. :)
US users could get through a gap in system. So announcement were for those users who found gap in system and were able to use S4M.
Really, next time rather ask me on pvt before making "omg posts". Would save us of spam :)

But nevertheless thank you on this post. In my original announcement I failed to mention this. It was same announcement for all communities so I wasnt in position to make changes.

Best regards,
Mika

It really would be nice if people like sertet, RoMage, and Stickingit would really, truly, and *finally* go away, as they've been threatening or promising to do. Seeing them constantly whining and kvetching about this game, and doing absolutely nothing else, is so wearing. Their time, as well as ours, would be better spent elsewhere. Like on the Russian game. Or just about anywhere else than *here*.

Oh, were I Oliver Cromwell! If I were, I could and would say this to you:

"It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place,
which you have dishonoured by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled
by your practice of every vice; ye are a factious crew, and enemies to
all good government; ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like
Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray
your God for a few pieces of money.

Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice
you do not possess? Ye have no more religion than my horse; gold is
your God; which of you have not barter'd your conscience for bribes? Is
there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the
Commonwealth?

Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defil'd this sacred place, and
turn'd the Lord's temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral
principles and wicked practices? Ye are grown intolerably odious to the
whole nation; you were deputed here by the people to get grievances
redress'd, are yourselves gone! So! Take away that shining bauble there,
and lock up the doors. In the name of God, go!"
That was his speech when dissolving the "Long Parliament". And in a number of ways, it''s a fit response to every last one of you whiners. Even those, especially those, who think they've lost something they never had.

So yes, "In the name of God, go!"

Sorry, my money was invested in their game. I'm pretty sure I am allowed to voice a displeasure with how inane some of the actions a CM are. It shows a serious lack of focus and frankly, i'd like to see them do better.
A real sysadmin knows how to change the time.
If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

As much as I'd love to say I offer consulting services, the scope of things broken is too large.

Introducing our new Mentor and GF cheerleader......

Don't worry once you become a green name you'll be able to directly be ignored when your guild gets stomped (which happens routinely) cleanly in a siege you assume the other guild is hacking during.

Sertet was spot on, the majority, if not a high high percent of the people on the NA servers have no idea about S4m or the Kayal system. I'm not sure if you are chest pounding in support of them telling us about something that for the most part doesn't effect us. YET, there is still issue regarding the hacked gear, gold spamming, players whom hacked gear still floating about, outstanding tickets, rollback issues etc. So yea, pardon me for showing no regard for the notification this thread is about.

Ok, now I'm REALLY confused. Are you saying that SFM is actually not closing down, but they're just fixing an issue where US players could get SFM?

Because the original announcement contradicts this and definately sounds like SFM closure. And I get the feeling that they were like "Well, EU players are going to start rioting if we tell them we don't want to give them free stuff from SFM anymore, in that case, lets cast all them blame on the US players!!"

No its being shutdown, he is saying the players who knew that creating an EU account and the keys gained from buying items from sfm itemshop were redeemable on a usa account. So they will no longer be able to do so now that its getting closed.

ok time for me to enter my opinion and a lot of it is the same as Rusty. See this is what you get when you complain that the servers are "not equal". When you do that, you better be ready for them to take away the whole thing instead of just giving it to us. That is what happened with Cedric, that is what happened with SFM now, that is what happened with browser version of the game. It makes sense though, as more people go "I am not spending any more money on this game!!!" GF is going to look to cut things out that reduce profit, in hopes to make more Profit. There has been a long list of these activities lately in this game... which is a bad sign for the games health, and likeliness to continue.

When you start cutting the free stuff, in hopes for people to spend money, usually means that is your last ditch effort. Course if GF isn't careful they will just have armies of hackers making sure no one spends any money and everyone gets to play as OP. I mean if they refuse to fix those things, eventually more and more people will say "whatever" and jump on the band wagon.

Now knowing that complaining about something usually gets it taken away from other countries and not us... Wasn't there some countries that could "save up" Sigils? Or did that go away at some point. Cause at least to my knowledge we cant use them willy nilly and collect them. Though I know I have seen videos of other servers doing it. If it is still in place and we don't have it, Take it away from them or give it to us!!! (LOL I know they will take it away before programming it in for us)

reg / pdef / mdef sigil were available once in some strange package back in ... ... .. well, way back even before temple so spring/summer 2010 or something. and they were bugged in the sense that they were a consumable item but did not get consumed if used in an instance, except for Warnorken. And as fast as Runewaker usually is it took them ages to fix that up to the point people complained in the forums and to support that their sigil vanished after use as they were led to believe the bug is that each use consumes a sigil ... but thats long fixed i belive at latest since the start of Chapter4 and ive never seen that stuff on sale ever again - and why would they after they introduced st. phoenix into the game? :/

(Yeah and why woud you need such sigis at all after Bedim was in the game /trollmode) but atleast thats hotfixed by disabling the instance.

S4M was cut more than likely due to the fact that problems were arising with it not working for many players. Fixing it would require an effort that gameforge does not want to expend. The browser version is being removed very likely for the same reason.
Cedric was removed because the AH limitation was removed and there were "other" ways of obtaining diamonds... until S4M was removed too.

These decisions are -not- because we wanted equality. We were asking for FEATURES and SUPPORT and good ol gameforge said no one is worth the time and effort for those features and support. Cut things that reduce profit? No, more like they are cutting things that require time and attention. Even the "chapter" release said they wanted to cut back on the "big" patches so they don't have to patch as often.

Ohhh, it is touching to see that my friend Malignatus still has feelin' for me... I am still lost at where I ever offended you, but I guess that you take it personally if someone is criticizing Game Forge which brings assumption that he has 2 skins, one of them being green...

Personally have nothing against you, playing or not, but still have high hope that GF will sell license for RoM to someone else who will take it more seriously. After all, this is not web browser game, and they just announced that they are dropping development of web client, which in my opinion worked well, but never got completed, almost like siege war.

Once this happens and our GM and other colored folks looses their colors I will come back from retirement.

Only other way I would come back is if they fix all problems they made with this what I see as corporate greed. More then once we proved that with selling for less they will make more money, but who cares... read a bit about game forge from ex employee post/coments/blogs, you will find how fun is to work there... they have at least some free food... :p:

Malignatus, too bad you are on wrong server... otherwise I would marry ya!
ps. you know, some of us purchased dias, and that kind of entitles you to at least have an opinion about game... :cookie:

score for more was actually run by someone other than gameforge i believe and it was buggy as hell.
we need to relax and give gameforge a chance the head office should be running at full tilt in but 3 or 4 weeks.
give the new team a little time to get accustomed to us and see what happens.

SFM was indeed very very buggy. Promotional deals with other systems tend not to work very well in the long run. I'm interested to see if the game improves within the next couple months as GF gets settled in to their new headquarters. I'll remain optimistic until then, and heck, if things go well, I may even start clicking that funky little recharge diamonds option again.

Ghostlord: Knight/Mage/Scout/War/Rogue 92/92/92/50/50 -- PvP Knight and now DPS Knight
Castali: Fail Rogue

Ch 1 Knight/Mage -- Bring back Lightning Armor!!

So the larger question amongst the trash we selectively pick through is......what is GF doing to pick up another promotion if anything to make the game more enticing to new players and or to current. <-- sounds so generic but maybe they will understand that tone, I've run out of ideas.
I would drape myself in velvet if it was socially acceptable.

Well im interested to see what happens when it officially closes and what items they place in the itemshop and at what prices. Its is true phirius tokens are basicaly the same as sfm with a few extra ways of getting the score. Oh and the major difference the higher ranked sfm players got free diamonds everymonth. but luckily for usa community we already dont get much right now so we dont really feel much of any negative change so even if gf doesnt upgrade ptoken shop system to balance the loss of sfm, it will just be a normal day for us.

As bad as it sounds, i dont really feel bad for them losing sfm, since as they say its better to have loved and lost than to never love at all. US/AUS no get the love yet but at least eu got the loves.
