...are changed to be like the Phirius pots, waters, and elixirs--not usable in Siege.

Maybe I was borked, but Tuesday night in siege, I tried a Phirius pot and it worked. just saying...

Just to make sure, I tried in siege again tonight, and phirius pot worked again..

This is a funny discussion.

In almost every other forum thread, you guys are complaining that RoM costs too much yet here you seem OK with adding stuff to the IS that will mean an increase in the cost to play. :D

Hmmm....

KatalanOrk clearly is a nincompoop...

Either that, or everyone else is? ;)

I think the jest of this entire post is that ERD gives those that are fortunate enough to have them an extreme advantage. The general idea here is to even out the playing field by making them available to everyone in the IM. I don't think that means buying more diamonds it just means that you prioritize what you really need and if it is ERD then that is what you buy. I agree with having them in the AH for everyone for a few reasons. 1. Not everyone received the freebies when the GM's were dishing them out, they should of sent them to everyone's mailbox like someone suggested above, this at least would have been fair at the time. 2. An item that is this much in demand and makes such a huge difference to game play should definitely be available to everyone. 3. What about new players starting and making new guilds, this is a definite bummer for them to be up against a guild in SW using ERD and they have no way of ever getting them.

I think taking them out of the game altogether is definitely wrong, it would upset those that have them and especially those that have been using them conservatively. The only solution I think is to make them available to everyone, and if people want them then they can buy them. To me this is a no-brainer.

Something that's been in my mind the whole time I've been reading this thread is something I remember from simple customer service... people are happy when you give them something; conversely, they'll flail you alive if you take something away.

ERD is as much a part of RoM's instance design as anything. You don't think RW sat down and said, "Hey... these guys have a 30% boost to their pdef & mdef for 30 mins, think we should make instances harder?"

Deleting them all won't solve anything.

Like Yoman mentioned earlier, if there are timestamps on objects, it should be fairly easy to figure out which ones weren't valid... the DB guys just have to take a look @ ERD timestamps and look for the gap in time where GM's were told not to give any out.

Now that that's cleared up... mebbe ERD should be a lvl 80/100 cooking recipe? Mebbe put it and other GM food in IS?

the invalid ones should be deleted but i really dont think the game needs another STACKING 30% food of any sort.

if they were an replacment as a better version for similar food as in OVERWRITING same cooking buff food ... ok. but stacking with every other food? leave the legit ones where they are now, delete the invalid ones, and keep it at that.

Well, that's news to me. For the longest time, Phirius pots did not work in Siege. Guess I'll have to check that out for myself, they're better than regular pots if you get hit for a bunch of damage and happen to survive...

egg rice dumplings give other class combos a chance to be able to tank things they couldnt necessarily tank before.... but i mean just because people can use egg rice dont mean that they will i prefer flower blessings over egg rice tbh, if people already meet the requirements for the instance why would they waste the money on egg rice, if i get over 300k hp and 400k pdef in siege without egg rice... why would i use it? id rather have the extra hp. XD
just my two cents.

I really dont think it makes anything unfair, its the people who make things unfair, and it doesnt matter what you sell, give, take, buy, the same people will find a way to make it unfair to others.

Actually Yoman I agree with you, I don't think the game NEEDS another 30% stacking food. However, it did not need it back when the GM's so kindly gave them away either but they did and some people got thousands of them. SO, to just leave some people with them gives them a huge advantage over others. In my book that is not fair at all, especially in SW where there are new players that were not even around when they were passed out. SO, maybe the best thing for everyone is to make them inactive for SW if that is possible.

Just one of those things I guess that your damned if you do and damned if you don't...

Just saying ;)

when was the last time they were on sale and the last time they were handed out by a GM during an event? certainly not in 2013 and i doubt it was in 2012 at all, either. Could be wrong with 2k12 though but i believe both the sale and the handout were a looong time ago.

if spawndate/dropdate > last_legit_date then delete itemid. done. more or less, the details are for dbadmins to work out (which they are doing - 3 database devs/admins alone have been working for 3 weeks to get the queries right for all the duped and hacked stuff and it is still WIP according to ThePit - but if you made your gf listen to the audio already you should know :p)

I still have quite few, never used them except tried once I got them 2-3 years ago... not all of them are illegal... you should know that...

I think the "unfair in siege" argument actually could be fixed by my suggestion, in the suggestions about a change in siege ranking. Players that would use ERD in siege, will have higher ratings, their guild would have higher ratings, and therefore newer players that don't have them will probably rarely see the ones that have and use them.

Shameless plug to have people give input on my suggestions thread :P

Tell me, would you like really their DB admin to do such a thing? :)

They should be forbidden to use 'delete' SQL statement, as it is clear that they don't know much about RoM db. Otherwise they would fix snoop and many other things long time ago...
