A new office, but has the upper management changed?

With the move to Gameforge Karlsruhe, if I remember correctly, the employees in the Berlin office were all offered jobs in Karlsruhe. Although this is not feasible for most regular employees, I would think that its possible that at least several, if not many, of the upper management would be willing to make the move in order to keep a job in a relatively higher (and better paid) position.

When Phelan made his announcement, he stated: "Me responsibility also includes support, and we haven't done well ther for the past months." Which did sound as if had been managing RoM for quite awhile, rather than being part of a new team at Karlsruhe that just started to tackle RoM. (Or was the upper management always in Karlsruhe, in which case it is still the exact same group of people making decisions for RoM?) Or are we really managed by a new group of people?

find the posts of Phelan i had translated into english somewhere in the other discussion threads, that should answer some of the stuff. Should be in the "the German CM....xyz" thread i think.

Also the translation of the ts3 meeting with thepit which should be out soon(tm) should give some insight.

"Top management" made the wrong decisions from the get-go at the end of last year. Since your "top management" has changed, the U.S. servers/region has had no respectable CM.

And please don't say Mikah. Mikah is a joke. He's nonexistent.

We had good CMs/GMs in the form of Nytefall/Kharrma. You guys fired them. Since then, this game has gone downhill in the form of dupes/hacks.

Raves, you're welcome to your opinions. But several of your statements are wrong, based on your lack of knowledge/information.

Dionaea, Nytefall, and Kharrma left on their own. That was their decision, not Gameforge's. They were not "fired".

Mika is on vacation and will return to his duties shortly.

Mika is a joke of a CM even when he's not on vacation. Get real. Didn't even know he was on vacation because, shocker, nothings any different than when he's here!

Yea, Raves and Borella hit the nail on the head...

I didn't see that CM do anything. I didn't like Dionea, so saying she does more than this guy.... is a huge step. Nytefall, Swag, Kharma, etc. We have had a lot of great management in the past.... The new guy has done NOTHING to even hold a candle. I don't even know how many total posts he has on these forums but I bet it is under 10.

Odd, because this is the first time I've heard this. I've spoken to some individuals (reliable people, not some random nobodies) and they always referred to them as "fired."

I don't believe this.

Fact of the matter is, we've been missing a proper CM since the end of last year. Even now, with "Mikah," we're missing a proper CM.

CM = Community Manager

How does one manage a community, if one does not interact with it in the first place? Mikah has done nothing for us. The fill-in CMs that we got between the period of the US CMs departure until now were far removed from the community and its interest. Sure they tried, and I respect them for that, but...

1) Time difference - rarely were they on to respond to problems/issues when they arose. We had to wait until the following day (their following day would be our overnight) for server issues, etc to be even be started to look at.

2) Their perception vs our perception. U.S. Holidays unnoticed. Believe it or not, this affects the general morale of the community. I agree, it *should* be a non-issue. But it is. Each community should have sales/events tailored to their region. A proper community manager would remedy this.

3) CM presence - both in-game and out. I honestly can't remember the *last* time we had a CM visit/event on the U.S. servers. I personally enjoyed the duel tournament Dio & crew held. That was over a year and a half (?) ago. But I think the last time we saw GMs visit and do an event was Halloween of last year. Around 10 months ago.

theres more points I wanted to write about but frankly, I feel like this too, will fall on deaf ears.

You can keep wondering.

Although they don't play anymore, from what I see. Haven't talked to them in months. Good enough to know the IGN's of former GMs, however. Among other things.

Although I don't see how the above is any relevant to the talking points I presented on lacking a proper, dedicated CM for the last 8 months.

Yep CM's or GM's in game to get rid of the dupers like Preview on Reni. Sad that the problem exists and no one seems to actually come to check it out, he got level 80/80 in 15 minutes, all orange statted and no questions asked. That could have been fixed in 2 minutes.

Where are the CM events??? where?? no more freebies, no more spawning mobs to get wings and stuff. Duper roaming freely and nothing being done. Mika on vacation, really??? just LOL.

Dionaea organized with other CM's an event for Disturbed 3rd anniversary, we got freebies and it was really appreciated. All the stuff i got from that i gave to people who were crashing left and right lol, but at least they did something.

This was good laugh...

RoM NA even with shadow GM such as time after Dio was a joke....

Let's recap, we had Cedric for about a 2 weeks the same as EU, after that they nerfed him and got rid of him short after that. All that SFM thing we never had, even in mouth of all those quazi GMs we are all 'equal'...

But still we did not have the same fate as AU servers that got screwed up by unannounced move to US, which is on the other side of world...

LOL

ps. I always wonder how person who lives in one of best touristic destination goes on vacation... :D

uhm ... well ... ever seen the big red thing scrolling through on the FORUM HOME? You know, the CM Event/little competition that noone gave a F... about because it's too hard to post a screenshot from killing a boss in instances up to 20 levels below your gear onto the forums and win actual diamond coupons? And it was only a week of time do so :/
Hey zid, same post from someone who posts once in a while ... okay. but from the top spammers? really? :p And yes he didn't make in ingame-event yet, but that part of your post was kind of selfown :p

Raves: as for the employees that are gone alteast Dio clearly stated it had nothing to do with either RoM or Gameforge. dunno about the others though ;)

You'd better check your "reliable sources" again, since they're rather unreliable.

Dionaea decided not to renew her contact with Gameforge as CM. Nytefall and Kharrma made the same decisions vis a vis their contracts with Gameforge.

I do stay in contact with all three of them--they're doing fine, thanks.

You're welcome to believe what you want.
