Hmmm...

Why do I feel like this game is still going to be in shambles and end soon?

I just don't feel like their "coming soon" is ever going to come. Seems like more false promises.

Anyone else getting this?

With the current move and the request for input (which I hope won't be ignored like the request for input for the item shop was). I feel that we should give them a chance to see if anything is done. If after a time a month or two nothing changes we will know for sure what the future of the game is.

I don't think we should have to wait a month or two to see some activity on GF's part. Several of the suggestions have to do with CS issues which we know are in their direct control.

If they are serious about keeping what is left of their base, lets see some IMMEDIATE activity on the items they have sole control over.

just my 2 cents here but when ANY company moves there will be mishaps and such lets give them a couple months to get adjusted to the new team and head office and then we can discuss this again.i have to agree with Katalon on this i see things only getting better.
remeber you have to break a few eggs to make an omelet!

I for one get your pop, or not so pop, culture reference and do tend to agree, it has in all fairness been a while since I held any true hope for the future for a product which I dedicate so much too, but even I can see a change of attitude and at least give it the benefit of the doubt and moreso hope for better things to come...

Games have been "dead" even before they were released. In a world where internet connectivity is available to keyboard warriors, they spread their negative vibes everywhere. I do believe the game does have some issues, and by all means...wether they like it or not, some type of cross-server merge would need to occur eventually, but the game is not really "dead". Many very good players have legitimately left the game, but the game does seem to enjoy some popularity on other parts of the world. For example, Middle East players are ip banned from playing runes, but Tahadi Games, their ROM provider, just recently closed the game. The games sometimes does feel abandoned hence the reason I changed servers, but I'm pretty sure that eventually they will hire more people to attend the American community (and no, I did not forgot you Aussies too ;) ).

I can't say whether or not this game will end soon, but I do think Gameforge Karlsruhe is making an effort to save the game.

If they had intended to let this game die, they wouldn't have hired a new Board Admin, a new CM (ThePit), or send several more Gameforge people to the forums communicate with us and grant out wish for better communication (Phelan, I think there's one other guy, can't remember), nor would they have asked representives from every german guild and hold a massive meeting (Refer to Yoman's translated article on Romwelten) and tell them what they are currently doing (over 1 million duped items removed, 400 banned, new patch blocked due to QA finding too many bugs, to name some that I can remember), or start training a new group of support staff.

i doubt its the end of the world. if nothing else I can see a *MINOR* change in direction in the last few days

such as
1: its pretty obvious that someone inhouse as told the CM's ect to post an introductory thread. I say this because they all did it at once

2: the german community has had a conference / meeting with Mr. Pit while we may have been excluded from that meeting atleast they took the time to meet with some of the players.

3: Pit seems to be serious on removing scammers / dup'ers / hackers from the game. "and yet we still have cbhere & Valastharion spamming Reni all day and night. I don't think they are actually viewing the reports submitted"


Overall I would like to put faith in the company as a whole and give them a chance to change direction. but im not holding my breath.

Yes, that is true..i'm glad they finally listened. Players have been asking for the ruby bonus on special sales for far too long. Hopefully they do it again because not many people need mounts anymore lol ^^. In the last few days they certainly have stepped up their game.

Au contraire. My attitude is far more refreshing. Somewhat tart at times, but nowhere close to as sour as yours is. Add some sugar and don't add the alum you've been using as a "sweetener". :cookie:

I doubt that the game will be ending any time soon, especially with the now-intensified attention being paid to it by the Powers That Are, both here and Across The Pond.
