The problem I see with making only the last couple bosses hard is weapon distribution, either have weapons only coming off the last couple or make every boss hard, I'd vote for the latter, Annelia is a good baseline for a 'hardmode' boss.
I think there's a bit of misunderstanding. I don't mean to purposely make the last bosses harder than they're supposed to be. What I mean is, the bosses in an instance should be rearranged from easiest to most difficult.
wow Ruis... is it really that easy? I solo burn all of KT norm... Since I couldn't burn GC norm, I haven't thought of trying higher instances solo. Wow I am gonna have to go and try.
Maybe there is more than can do KBNE... I just don't see it. But again it could be peeps aren't running it, which is why I am not seeing it. So gonna this weekend try burning a few more instances solo.
Third boss is probably one of the most dfficult in KBNE, followed by the black trash mobs that shadow prison you for 10 seconds. First boss is probably about as diffiult as DoD first boss. Only a little over 2m HP if I remember correctly (Around the same as DoD), and with mage shield, did not do a single point of damage on me by the end of the fight (and I only have 38k Pdef... lol, even boss in WA can 3 shot me

).
From what I've seen, except TOSH, ever since Grafu, every instance with 12 man option has a much larger difficulty difference between its easy mode and its normal mode compared with the difficulty difference in older instances.
