@Token: Not only that, but more gold causes gold to devalue, and prices to increase. Players purchasing gold (albeit not from Gameforge) was one of the reasons server economy blew up during early chapter 4, and a second time right now. If Gameforge started selling gold, at some point, gold would have no value, and people would sell everything for 900 million.

The whole point of the thread is about removing hackers and making the game easier for everyone, correct? The major problem is that what you suggests will go against the ability of Gameforge to make money. If people can easily be at endgame status with weapon and gear, then what would be the incentive to improve? Why buy dias or any IS stuff if you're already as good as everyone else? Why would you continue playing once you reach the top? This is a problem that many endgamers face when a new zone is no longer new and there is nothing left to get from it.

Also, many of the events that take place actually give people the opportunity to increase a skill or access certain things without having to work as hard. The bag drops in CoO for elites is a good example. A few months back there was that event to get proofs each day (which was heavily exploited) instead of having to constantly surf channels hoping that world boss was available to farm for proofs. Hell, even the bag drops in S.P. are easy to get and use as stats to create decent gear.

Another thing you are also forgetting is that you don't have to be fully geared with orange stats in order to be endgame. It is possible to have nothing but yellow stats on gear and be able to solo most instances (or hold your own in a group run).

As far as hackers are concerned, GF needs to be able to respond faster to reports on hackers and gold spammers to show effectiveness. All it takes is 30 minutes of someone's time to pop into a channel, wait for a gold seller and bring down the ban hammer. But hackers will always be a part of games like these, and to be honest i'd be more worried if there weren't any hackers at all because if they don't feel like a game is worth the effort then there might be something wrong with it.

If I knew how to get quotes to work on the forums I would. The whole "more than one account... permanent ban" has to be one of the most BS ideas ever. If that were an actual rule, I'd be banned 12 times. Yup 12. I have 12 accounts and I have no problem saying it. Most people make a new character on the same account as their main. Me on the otherhand, i make a new account for each new character I make. This allows me to dual box my main and the new toon at once just incase I need a boss dead, gold, or a powerlevel. I makes it so I can be completely independant and i don't have to bother other people. Plus if something unfortunate happens where an account is compromised, I wouldn't lose everything.

I play a m/p, k/r, r/m, d/s, champ/m, r/s, p/r, wd/w, s/r, warlok/rogue, m/r, and a d/r. Only 3 of them are geared and lvl 80 and the rest are in the 40-55 range. No two of them are on the same account. Why? I already explained that above.

yes, you are right, according to John M. Scheb's definition, but, in the abstract, a constitutional republic is a form of representative democracy...

you vote for both leaders and legislation...i believe that fulfills this definition.

Lets just clarify....


It is not illegal to have multiple in game accounts. The rule states you are not to have more than one FORUM account. That is completely different than IG account. No where in the rules does it say you cannot have more than one IN GAME account. The scrolling banner says "new rule concerning multiaccounts on !!!!!!!FORUMS!!!!", key word FORUMS. Not in game. So lets not start spreading false rumors ... again.... about it being against the rules for more than one in game account...

I see that rule a problem. I don't know what the current sign up process is like these days but with older players a forum account was created at the same time as the game account was created. This is back when your game account and forum account automatically had the same user name.

On the eu forum I run foul of that rule just because I created 2 game accounts mid to late 2009. The same can be said for any other player from that time who has multiple game accounts. Only use 1 account to post but I know both game accounts have corresponding working forum accounts.

Don't know what happened to my au forum account, whether is was nuked when the au server became a us server or if it was migrated to the us forum. So I may or may not be against to the rules on this forum as well.

If the rule is limited to using 1 forum account then fine but if the scope of the rule a limit of 1 count regardless then the older players can sit back and wait for sanctions just because of the sign up process from 4 years ago. Would help if it was clarified.

edit: Then if my wife decided to use either of her forum accounts (signed up at the same time as me) that could give a total of 4 forum accounts coming from 1 ip address. Again just from the sign up process from 4 years ago.

it looks like the rule is being done as more of a way to stop flooding of spam, multiple votes on polls, etc. I think it does say each forum is considered different like the servers are so having one for EU and one for US would not affect you. I cant get to the link, it says it isn't avail anymore.

It is also not going to be mega policed from what I remember reading. They are gonna take it case by case when it looks like someone is using multiple accounts to avoid bans etc. If you have multiple accounts there was a link to inform them and have it reduced to one, if you were one like me that made a lot of accounts when it automatically made a forum account at the same time.

Also I made another account here recently and it didn't automatically make a forum account for it. I tried the login today to see if that game log in was a forum log in and it wouldnt let me.

I will also add if they see the Forum accounts posting from one IP address I am sure they may suspend the account until you contact them and let them know. A long time ago, we had this problem on the forums where they thought my gf posting was me trying to avoid a ban. Through support we got that settled, and I hope they still have it on record. She however has decided the forums aren't worth it and just lets me post now.
