i want more guilds to do beth, but I hear 2nd boss is the problem.
What does all the colours on the ground do in normal mode? Tank died when those showed up, and boss made a beeline towards me and my poor 39k Pdef toon lol >_>

And I'm looking forward to new content. Vendor belts should make T5's I think, and lv 90 jewels, which hopefully doesn't fail as much... And praying to RoM gods for Crystal extractor fix already.

Why? I think BB's pretty accurate. The only issue we had in beth normal was boss 2, since tank died when we didn't burn fast enough. After that, we didn't have any issue with the rest of the instance, only wiped once on boss 4 because I forgot where my silence key was when he casted Gravity Life Leech :o

a tldr woud be that this boss makes use of up to 8 different debuffs - only debuff#1 from that list is removable by skills as users gathered so far (or, bothered to tell on the forums). #2 on the list describes what happens for #3-9. all of those are not removable - by skills atleast. It has also been reported as being bugged/broken but the answer from QA so far was that the players didnt have the complete (and really complex and difficult) tactic figured out yet.

So if you have more information on the tactic for that boss instead of simply DPSing it - feel free to share ;-)

Runes of Magic is a gearing game, as we all know.
The problem is that we tend to over-tier our gear and massively over-tier our weapons to be able to burn bosses down rather than use tactics.
In order to over-tier, we must spend lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of diamonds = lots of money; yet we complain about the game being expensive?

Then, because we find one instance so easy (by burning down the bosses), Runewaker have to make the next instance even harder than ever.
Thus, we have to make new gear and over-tier yet again.

Yay Someone else who see's the truth :D which is exactly why I dont use the same statting and tiering methods of my other "OP" counterparts. t6 gear with half decent stats just so i can hold my own in a party. the best battles are the ones where a party has to just beat the instance on the skin of there teeth using strat.

Back on topic... my teeth is itching for a patch. anything really doesnt have to be lvl cap. festival would be nice crafting is a bit outplayed for now. lol

The problem is with the colour pads, which are debuffs that decrease attack, casting speed, etc and stacks up to 10 times. Basically, if you don't burn before the colours show up, you get a big nerf to party damage, which eventually leads to the 80% HP DoT.

Welcome to endgame. Where we will swap classes to gain a DPS advantage.

If you need to burn, you also should be sieging, as often as possible. You want midnight ritual, and tactical smash. You want a k/w (please be the main tank, its a waste to bring it in just for the op damage increase debuff).

You'd also want a s/r (15% defense reduction) a s/wd (damage debuff, makes party hit 10% harder), and maybe a m/wl (reduces defense by 30%). This makes most of the party able to use damage food instead of attack food, further increasing the damage output.

Basically, you decrease the bosses pdef by ALMOST half. 10% (i think?) from midnight ritual, 20% from tactical smash (i think, when maxed) and then 30% from m/wl. They don't stack additively.

So... 15% (sapping arrow) 10% (midnight ritual) 20% (tactical smash) 30% (m/wl [i forget name])

30% * 20% * 15% * 10% = 45.54% physical and magical defense reduction. Now let's look at the values rom-welten so gladly supplies us with...

After applying all those debuffs, this bosses (Sandos) will be reduced to [403,938 * .4554] 183,953 pdef and [189,123 * .4554] 86,126 mdef
. Yes, that still seems high, but during burns you (well my parties) have attack procs... etc.

Having good gear doesn't mean you are amazing. I have not change any gear since my 77 gear. so i have pom set, t7 shint chest (yes from tosh) t10 dim light, kbn gear and accs. Nothing special. Still do amazing dps.

Also, with such little defenses, stacking crit is what is recommended to maximize dps. Damage > crit > attack

Burning bosses=massively op characters
Massively op characters= spending great amounts of diamonds
spending great amounts of diamonds= great profits for ROM
great profits for ROM= more money for new areas, levels and fixes
more money for new area, levels and fixes = better game
burning bosses = better game

and yes burning bosses is not the fun way to do it. That is pretty much the reason my gf and I try to do dungs just by ourselves cause we like trying to figure them out and get a HUGE satisfaction, even from doing easy with just the two of us. I am sure we would not be considered bad in and guilds groups and could burn our part. We just remember the old days learning how to do the barrel guy in KS with just two people. It is kinda annoying when dungs require for the strat having more. Even worse if it requires a burn. Cause really that is what keeps us playing and spending money on the game.

Also doing stuff like one priest for pa.attk buffs, d/wdn for extra magic dmg buff/briar shield on tank, if you use lots of mages. S/P has spiritual leader which gives another speed up to attack speed if your burn is ending to try to push DPS back up to finish it off. There are lots of class combos not used as much. Soldier's attack is a speed/dmg buff for the party, umm the last siege title I think is another dmg buff.

ironblood will. +20% damage (physical/magical) for 15 seconds. Im only 2 titles away from it. Cant wait!

Yes burning is nice but not necessary for all bosses. there are still some bosses where burns are near impossible and strat must still be used so don't think you need to duo things in order to do them the fun way and prevent burns DKJester. Indigo still needs to use strat to down 5/6/7 bosses in bethomia hard, and I recently learned that not many groups actually know how 6th boss works, at least the tearing claw part (I still don't know how Ice Lance or w/e skill works but w/e).

On a side note: I recently learned tht you must get the "frost bomb" or w/e the heck it is titles in order to proceed after getting Tactical Smash +8....QQ
