I only think that is the case cause they didn't buff Bethomia bosses as much on the magical defense as they did on the physical defense. That balanced it out. Now if they are gonna keep up that trend of making it that way.. then I am more than happy with the staves as is. I only worry if the magical dmg properties gets put back to where they were before Bethomia.. and the staves are not properly updated, then it will fall unbalanced again.

yeah I would say these ISS are a little unbalanced just by reading them. I don't think there are many of the ISS that existed that were this good. I mean one looks like a rehash of the holy candle shield that they nerfed to oblivion. I hate farming set skills so I don't mind that the dwarf ones are better, just a little weird... Maybe just their usual tactic of "buff the new race's classes in hopes people will reroll and regear".

I think most knights and wardens would kill for this set skill to drop outta RT

battle defense transfer level 60
suffered any attack increases your defense by 3.0% up to a maximum value of 30% holding for a few seconds at 10.0

30% defense buff that pretty much will last a whole boss fight..... gf.

I mean then they give the Champions a bubble like holy candle shield, AFTER they took it away from Priests. Not to mention how they nerfed Archer's Glory. I mean they nerfed Holy candle shield cause they thought it unbalanced boss fights...... Then they give it to a tank class to use, doesn't matter if it takes half their life... they will be immune for the next seconds to be healed back up... Heck it could take 80% of their health.

I do think if this is the ISS for Dwarfs they need to go back and reassess all the other ISSes.

Ok, so, for once in the history of RoM, I agree with you, DK.

Bethomia didn't make mages "gods," it was broken. They buffed the pdef to an almost-correct-for-hard-mode level and left the mdef at less-than-tosh level. Of course magic is gonna seem better under those circumstances. They never addressed the real issues, and those issues are that magic damage does not scale, and staves and wands scale pdam and not mdam. Those are two pretty game-breaking issues that are going to suddenly snap into focus toot suite if this instance has correct def/mdef values.

W/m is not going to be crazy OP. They will be decent sustained damage. Mages will be back to keeping scouts company at the bottom of scrut- if they do leave the values balanced.

Better hope your guilds have good phys dps if they do, cause the party's over :cursing:

Yeah, a bit late to the party, but you guys had opened threads already before we could start sorting all the stuff. Will do now, so i am merging some threads in here.
I might have to edit the starting post if it does not appear as a thread made by me.

Update: Ok, merging & updating OP done, have fun with discussing the Patch and ofcourse with the Patch itself in a few hours.

Heads up

I'm just giving you guys a heads up but I believe I may know what they mean by "siege war optimization." Along with playing on reni, I also play on another server which got the content update 2 days ago. The changes that were made to siege were as follows: The guards were buffed to level 85. Gates received a health upgrade with the outer gates going up to 4 million HP and the inner gate going up to five million. Those were the only changes that we noticed. The only other thing that we noticed was that the hammer will no longer spawn when a gate is destroyed. This is most likely just a bug with the patch.

The above information I typed is based off of another server and might not be the case with the official servers. I'm just giving everyone a heads up as to what might be coming. If the above information does prove to be true do not complain when your hammer breaks because it was not your opponent's fault, it was a bug with the patch.

Mage staff to have at L82 is Sayafiz's claws - at T10+16 it is 8914 pdam, 10440 mdam. Int/Matt ghost stats, no crit.

As mentioned, the problem with L82 gear is that it gets less bonus from same tiering because it is naturally T5. So, while mdam is less than Hoson, which is 10489, that damage comes from adding 5 tiers, not 6. We had similar situation already before, when KT came out at "just over the tier" mark. While RT gear was, and is, still popular, nobody ever wore much that came from KT.

It doesnt matter if the new weps start at T5 and go up 1 less tear than before... t5 belts will more than likely be on a vendor which means T11 is the new T10 and T12 the new T11 etc etc...
Cammo (82 M/82 W/82 R) 116,147 unbuffed Matk :D (95k pa - r/m)
Livia (82 P/77 K/75 S) wisdom O.o wtf is that...
~~ retired - Thanks to gameforge for that. ~~

The tier jump happens every 20 levels. I just forgot how orange items are rated.

so:
white/green/blue/purple | tier
21/18/14/ 8 | 2 example: ...never checked, but see the pattern
41/38/34/28 | 3 example: white belts from obsdian fortress
61/58/54/48 | 4 example: blue level54 items in Savage Lands+, level50 purple from Raichika, greens from NJF, white beltsfrom limo desert
81/78/74/68 | 5 example: any purple gear after Sardo, blue items since Chrysalia/KBN,greens since Syrbal/Bethomia, 81 whites from Sarlo later today
101/98/94/88 | 6 example: none, start asking in ~6-9 months for purple 88+

untested for anything <41 and >81 ;)

I say 90 because, the purples usually go, 60, 62, 65, 67, 70, 72, 75, 77, 80 etc, dont think there will be 88 purples 87 mostly likely so then we need to hang for 90's. well i could be wrong. im going off memory here, not ingame to check these things.

Last time we had an X8 purples was Pasper's Shrine [48] and I also seem to remember something about blue quest rewards not making t4 at 54 but instead 55 or something, memory is hazy on that one so don't quote me ;).
