How can I keep Runes of Magic from lagging?

I recently downloaded Runes of Magic (The Wow clone) and When I played it and got into the combat, its been really slow and it takes a longer time to kill things then it should and I have to keep clicking on button just to go to my options and such. Is there anyway I can fix this?
I even tried configuring the screen like making it 800x600*. :rolleyes:

i had the same problem when i was playing but all i had to do is lower the graphics and it worked just fine. if you need to know how to do that just push esc and then go to audio and video and lower the video quality.

If it is taking you a long time to kill things, make sure you have the best weapon you can get for your class equipped and keep it at or near your level as you progress. You can drag and drop your attack skills from the skill book to your action bars. And you can adjust your action bars via the interface menu.
