Maint Cancelled? ETA on when the locked out can get in?

Half my bloody guild is locked out and cannot log in on their main toons. Maintenance scheduled for today to correct the issue has been cancelled according to Metatag. Can we please have an update for when these people will be able to get on?

This is so frustrating.

We have new content, a new instance to do... and we can't because we have dps and heals out due to this issue. We were so excited when we saw there would be a solution coming today. I know two days doesn't seem like a long time, but it's two days we could have spent working out strat, two days we could be playing together- it's most frustrating, of course, for those locked out (especially since they'll have to level when they get on, they've lost time for that too), but it's time lost for everyone in the guild. We're just spinning our wheels waiting. People who came back to game just to run the new instance are losing patience- the ground gained by news that this instance is hard enough to be worth running is being lost by not being able to get a group together to try it.

Can we get an ETA please?

Mika posted that Tuesdayish might be when you see the update. They are not sure how to fix it yet.

L. O. L.

Now would probably be the time to move on. This game is definitely not with the time or the diamond expense anymore. I crashed in the new zone the second I stepped in and now I can't log back in.

Ridiculous. This is stupid and rediculous.

Luckily my server isn't too bad, have not heard of many Indigoians getting locked out yet. Not having ROM during the weekend would suck however but I have survived before if I do go down. I have tried other games but I keep getting sucked back here.

I wonder how long until they figure out that testing is a MUST before releasing big patches. Players don't care if you gonna call them patches or chapters, but test them before releasing it.

You would think that the login screen, a feature of every game, would be bulletproof. Not so with ROM.

So much for promises made by ThePit...

TS meeting on the 21st should go well.

It is always RW fault. They waited for them to wake to fix servers... Wonder why they don't update servers when is morning RW zone - just in case...

This from ThePit...

"In this context the Product Community Manager also described the operations of the patching process at Gameforge. They would receive the content patch from Runewaker and install it onto a test realm in English. Then localization starts working on it with translating roughly 40.000 items or keys. After this it goes through QA and if they encounter a serious problem, let's say a player using an item and crashing the game client with that, this would be a bug categorized as "blocking" for Karlsruhe, while often enough Berlin didn't make the same assessment. In such a case Runewaker gets a message that Gameforge will not deploy the patch to the live servers while such a bug is not fixed. They won't let such a patch go live because it would be irresponsible of them to the users. He commented very explicitly on two prominent examples: "Take a look at Bedim - best example - haven't seen such a piece of bullshit in a long time. Yes. Goblin mini game [crash issues] - total crap."

From what I have been informed, is that the maintenance for last night would not have fixed the issue. Therefore, it has been put off until they work on a fix, which relates to Mika's addition to the Announcement.

And for what it's worth, I too have an account that is unable to log in.

lol Tuesday for a 'possible' fix...is RW on the Square Enix marketing team's payroll? Certainly making my decisions easier, if only my guild wasn't full of those elitist free to play types(broke ass's).

This is unbelievably pathetic. They've screwed up so hard I'm not even sure if Wiffo can put a positive pro GF spin on it

Look, they are doing what they can, and gave us a possible ETA of when things will be fixed. If sarlo is broken, focus on the old zone, people still need gear from there! This game might not be so broken if you bought dias to fund the dev team.
#trololojk?

No. Wtf is this. Yeah, software testing is hard, but really its like things dont get tested AT ALL. Can I get some info about RW's dev team? LIke how large is that company, who works for them, what did they get degrees in (comp sci, hci, software engineer,g game design, what). LIke wtf? is the team just too small? Are they spread too thin? Software testing is the MOST IMPORTANT part of the development cycle and it feels like its not being done at all.

OMG this is like such a horrible thing to have happen.

has it been confirmed that it is caused by crashing in the new zone? Or is this what we think it is. If so ill say I am so happy we had all of Syrbal pass to get to 82 on all of characters if not more, cause we mostly just slowly level with our dailies (not DRT).

Also a good idea to anyone NOT locked out, to DL NTcores 4 gig memory patch, and apply it to Rom CLients, this reduces crashes a lot. Then using clean mem to keep the memory leaks more under control, and finally, drop your graphics settings. I have tested it on 5 different computers: the higher your graphics settings, the quicker your client will crash. This was tested on a low end desktop, mid level laptops, high level laptops, and two full gaming rigs. The only thing that altered how fast we crashed... was graphics settings. However, with graphics up at the max on the gaming rigs, NTcore/cleanmem reduced crashes to a minimum.

I have also found with the new zone, the longer you are there, the more laggy it gets. Best thing to do is when it starts getting laggy, snoopy/port/transport out, Exit out of the game, log back in and continue. Better to not crash and get stuck.....

Again this is if this is what is causing it, cause I don't think that has been confirmed yet. Right now we are playing with a "better safe than sorry" standpoint, till I know more.

/\ LOL Dragon Prophet is programmed by RW, you have the same memory leak issues there, not to mention the same programmers who release RoM updates.
