So let me get this right

The new zone is closed because the login server may or may not let people log in if they crash in new area?
The people that can no longer log in have to go thru a special irc chat in order to regain their character?
The jerks that were banned for duping and causing a great deal of problems that are still going on even now are coming back?
Some of these dupers still have the gear they hacked?


Got it.
Oh yea I forgot, the log in issue may or may not be fixed before Tuesday.

Yea this would be a good place to start a mmo :mad:

Actually those that can't login still can't login--at least me anyway... Going to the IRC chat was for them to get initial information about what happened (when/where the d/c happened, etc).

The IRC chat was very unhelpful. From reading Mika's post it implied it could be fixed if you go there. NOPE.

**UPDATE**
I just got in! Since Sarlo is closed, i was asked to relog in Pioneer's Colony.

Try restarting your computer and then try to login.

Palenque doesnt seems to have the issue as bad, new zone is sitll open, mayeb a couple plaeyrs cant log in :P

Thats great, maybe gameforge will just move everyone there, that way while those of us on other servers can not access the higher level stuff you can and we wont have to play catch up for the next 2 months fighting you guys that have been in the new zone and leveled longer. It would be nice at some point if the servers were all put on equal footing.

Palenque has been palying catch up for years/months, no reason to complain. Imo it gives us a chance to catch up. Maybe if Bethalis gave xp/tp and drops itd be worth doing.

Zone should be closed on all servers. If Palenque does not have lockout, it is because they missed it. I'd guess Palenque status as a real server is in question. :p

The lockouts don't have to happen in crashes in Sarlo. I crashed in Syrbal Pass when I got locked out. Unless it has to do with questing in Sarlo beforehand, it is not zone specific. Still, examining the problem, it is a natural assumption to make - everyone and their grandma were in Sarlo when problems started popping up.

Last but not least, it seems that currently locked out toons are no longer locked, at least according to what I see in forum and on server. So, they may or may not have solved the root cause, but they treated the symptom pretty darn well.

Either way i havent had any log in issues and havent stepped a foot in the new zone. My assumption would be it has to deal with the new zone.

We have 3 people in the guild that can not log in, 2 are in their houses, not sure where the third is. All 3 have gone thru the irc chat and all 3 are still unable to log in.

Were they unable to login the whole time or did the problem simly re-appear? Remind you, it's a workaround , not the final fix, so it is expected that it may not work 100%.

- If they are able to login but stuck in the house please try recall to Reifort,this worked for all who were stuck in the house AFAIK.
- For some users a reboot helped which apparently cleared some cached data.
- Users from Tuath/DE could login via manually choosing channel3.

If that all does not help i'll try to get some more information but it could very well be that only the actual permanent fix will, well, fix this for them.

If anything of the above does help - please let us know.

At least I can play some of my alts still and login. I can't login with my main toon (Orionthehunter), I hope GF actually get something done right. Maybe I'm just being optimistic. Only spend thousands of dollars in this game and it's the same story.... Full of promises and nothing to back it up with, only more virtual lags and crashes... *Sigh
