Who is NPC Kyle Cronn and why was he disabled? I'm assuming he must be a NPC in the new zone or part of the current festival.

Yes, festival NPC. As for why, "due to potential risk of abuse" seems to cover it. My guess is that he was giving too much stuff, but if so, using him over and over would be exploit-y, and that can't be discussed on forum.

Seems strange to disable a festival NPC for a festival that we've had before, unless he was some kind of new addition to it. Oh well.

I didn't know if he was some kinda of Owenstein (sp?) kind of NPC that people were clamoring to have back for a long time after he was removed.

I guess he doesn't anymore. Heaven forbid someone get a few extra pairs of wings and want to buy ABL's in the cash shop in order to sell them. Or sell costume aggs, again using cash shop items. However, since I didn't know who he was maybe someone figured out a way to get a TON of items...

Iffn me doth remember, yer could continously hander him transport runes last year (me guildies twere tryin hard fer the pets), an thus yer endeth up wit many items ter turn in, wings bein an end result. Dunnoes iffn that be the part they no liketh, or iffn there be somethin more sinister at play.

You guys must have been very lucky, he never gave me any wings although I did get tons of elements and runes sometimes.

@Lemonater I think the transport rune was not for him, it was for the shuttles, thread, and scissors one but I could be wrong.

the funny stuff is that last year this guy was giving wings too in exchange for material packages from event. and this was intended. and after 1 year they decide that it is abusable :O

The issue is not that he was giving things at all nor what exactly he gave - he is supposed to do that during the event.
Still this NPC has technical issues that made what he does abuseable, therefore the NPC is currently removed.

i told everyone there wasn't gonna be compensation. There wasn't with the hackers, and the massive rollbacks/downtime. There wont be any here, and if there is, ill be massively shocked. I don't see it happening though.

Counter-Question: why would they not after it has expliticly been announced multiple times in short time(and btw, globally, apart from translation differences or shortcuts the announcement is everywhere) that there will be?

And btw, wrong thread. This is about the missing NPC which is currently deactivated on purpose due to abuse, not about the login issues.
