For those that missed us on Thursday i'd like to refer to the addition to the original announcement, posted by Mika:
Quest Repairs US Servers - Thursday 09/19/2013
The original german post of Mikas linked post above is
from Kiareko, the person whio actually fixed your quests on the server. She works for Support.
I don't. I'm just the one who volunteered to help her on the server and filtered all the incoming requests and sorted the stuff, that's why you were talking to me most of the time.
I'm pointing out the line above in bold on purpose for all the non-believers with the "support doesn't help anyone anyway" attitude who are more or less guaranteed to show up in a thread like this. It saves me the time of having to write it later anyway
This is going to be a bit longer post from
me (SaitoHajime) about what we did on Thursday and about the feeback to it from this thread and elsewhere be it before or after the event. Just did not have any time before to comment on some of the stuff mentioned here.
So, let's get started.
a) "we hope to repeat it soon". This was just the first time that this was done on US and the other non-de communites. The Germans gave it a try a week or something ago with actually answering questions rather than fixing quests. It is all work in progress, and getting GMs and/or Support employees isn't done out of nowhere and takes time. Mika's information of "soon" still stands obviously, unless you get to hear otherwise ;-)
b) you missed us while we were on live? file a ticket, support will help with those known-broken and/or problematic quests. The more info you have the better, see the linked post above.
I might add: Fixing a Quest like "Acceptance brings Opportunity", even live, is like the icing on the cake. The quest does work perfectly, but we know how many users missed the chance of ever completing it due to the (working as originally intended, but still a bit unusual) condition of having to pretty much instantly visit Daris as soon you get the notice that she has business with you. Yet we fixed it on live and Support will fix it too if you file a ticket for it.
What Support still
won't do via ticket when it comes to quests is pretty much the same like yesterday on live:
Hackman (Blood Debt) and Bedim (Reward: Garmel, but also the instancequests) , unavailable titlequests due to actively disabled targets in general. These are global issues and need a global fix by Runewaker and/or a global workaround - the quests itself are working fine, just their targets are unavailable due the known problems. You're free to demand that these should happen in a more timely manner, but it is still rather pointless to complete those via individual tickets since support would simply get buried in tickets requesting nothing besides these 2 things. Once these would be started to be completed via ticket you can expect medium/high four-digit amounts of tickets just about these.
[Had added more here in this bracket but i rather re-check it with Kiareko and may or may not update later- consider some space in this bracket reserved for now]
Still i would rather recommend the forums if you just have questions about quests since you get way more exposure here and info's from people who actually completed the quests manually on their (sometimes even multiple) playthroughs. And we even have our walking quest-database here on the forums, called "
Yrcanos", also posting in green.
[To make this serious post a bit funnier: I was so busy with helping even earlier on the DE servers that I didn't even manage to login one of my own private toons - I don't even have that Daris quest myself

About time and timing:
This timing is not coincidal at all just because of the US meeting happening. It has been already or atleast will be done, on ALL RoM Communites. DE+US on Thursday, and i believe they did some of the others today if I'm not totally mistaken here. Nothing like this was done prior to the German meeting either way, and the DE Community is at least as vocal as you guys, and they are way bigger in numbers. There is nothing to interpret into it like a strategy of "they are just trying to up the mood right before the meeting".
The actual TIME is a different issue. First about the actual time ONLINE on the server:
We currently have to stay up really late to do it as it is now. We started at around 11pm DE time (with the US servers, we were on all DE just before that) and it took us until 3:30 am (which is 14:00-18:30 Pacific and 17:00-21:30 East)- and we could probably have spent more time on some of the servers and still not helped everyone, or we'd do it in the actual business hours of the current support people aka typical 9to5 but german time, which is even worse for US users as this is somewhere between midnight to 8am pacific/3am to 11am east. Hitting an 8pm spot on the US servers with all 4 timezones in mind is pretty much impossible, so it will always be too late/too early for some users.
About the time between the announcement and our actual appearing on the live servers:
Originally it was scheduled for Friday but due to other reasons we moved it forward and did it on Thursday on a rather short notice.
Advantage: We rescheduled it into the late german night instead of Friday german daytime.
Disadvantage: Not 1day+ between the announcement and the start. It was ~11h though.
If we're going to do it again, this can be improved ;-)
---
Final Notes: All praise goes to
Kiareko who worked her GM butt off for you (and the other countries) and fixed the quests
for almost 15h straight.

We departed from Artemis at around 03:30am german time on Friday morning.
