Hero Potion Recipe doesn't drop anymore?

Since gobs was changed, I haven't seen any hero pot recipe drops.

Has anyone seen it... at all?

Supposedly drops off mobs around the ant queen place in DDC... has anyone seen it?

One o the drawbacks ter the gobs change, BB. Sadly, ter get the recipe now, yer gonner needeth ter run it on lvl appropriate toons fer the drop. Get out yer lvl 50ish alts (btw, yer cannot run em through wit a lvl 82, cause the instance auto adjusts fer the lvl 82, so all yer toons huntin fer the recipe hast ter be 50ish in that party.)

So... I thought the recipe dropped off of the mobs? The mobs themselves fade away immediately after killing them. Is this different when you kill the mobs with level ~50 characters? Or does the hero pot recipe have a chance to be looted from ANY of the chests?

Oh, true, me done did fergotted bout that part. Guess yer lefted farmin round the ants then. Good point. Hopefully, when they fixer this issue, they can also enable Laor Forest Tarts so we be even wit Serenstum.

Have you tried a MA or NoM run yet? I seem to remember getting that recipe somewhere other than Gobs but cannot remember which.

BB I know that it doesn't drop in there anymore. Just like Steel Nails don't drop in there anymore, at least not in the higher level one. I found this out when I needed to make a talisman for my warrior/mage. You needed a steel nail which used to be so abundant, but then the change in gobs... weren't able to be found. What I had to do was level a char to 40-48 range, gear him up and run him in gobs by himself. After about a week, I got two steel nails on the same run.... and luckily crafted an OD talisman on the first try.

I digress....


My guess is the Hero potion recipe out of gobs would have to be done the same way, along with all the other old stuff we used to see a lot. It is either that or doing what Yomen posted and farm those mobs, which may work faster or find someone that still has one... which I don't know if I do.

No, Dk, BB tis right. The recipe usered ta drop offa the mobs, which now despawn upon death in gobs. The only way ter get the recipe now would be ter finder it on mobs outside gobs. It never droppeth from chests in Gobs.

I know where it was found, I just don't remember if the mobs in sub 50 gobs still act as before... the reason I posted what I did is to say it is very possible the sub level 50 gobs may still drop it. It is a different dungeon than the over 50 gobs now. There are two different ones, where the sub 50 one is like the old one.



I just don't know if the mobs still drop loot... never checked when I farmed it. And no you cant just stick a level 45 in a party with a level 50+... ifyou do you get the 50+ dung. It has to be the whole party is less than 50, or was is 45.. I don't know my guy is 44 to do gobs for old crafting mats.

I got mine a month ago with my lvl 60 mage, it drops from ants in DDC. No loot rune, no housemaid pot BTW

I have had that plus a few other recipes on that character for months/years maybe. Sorry only jump on Artemis to check your AH prices off and on but did double check and do have a hero recipe on that toon.

Got like Touch of The Unicorn/Hero Potion/Strong Stimulant....few others but is Bleedingblak your in game character name?
