About freaking time, I love how they keep us all up to date and informed that this was gonna take so long....

not that it matters much now seeing how the servers are up and running, however i am curious and hoping perhaps we can at least get an answer as to WHY the servers were down for almost 14 hours? :?:

remember when i said "i dont care how long it takes as long as we dont get our servers back in worse condition than when maintenance started, ill be happy if we get in back in the same condition or better "...

ummm.... 14 hour maintenance and ""MANY"" things are now >> screwed up or broken << that were not before today...

maybe they should just let the janitor do the server maintenance from now on, we might get better results and maybe even a reason why it took so long for a drastically failed maintenance.

just sayin'

if you are going to paraphrase someone at least do it correctly please, i said to stop bitching about spending dias on resets due to a free xp/tp event, that has nothing to do with the lack of communication from gameforge about todays maintenance issues

But... it's free... why should they have to communicate anything to anyone if it's free? Do you feel you DESERVE some sort of communication? Why would you feel this way? You didn't PAY for any communication!

Stop trying to troll. Communication is important in any situation free or not and yes everyone that plays this game DESERVES to be informed about the state the game. Whether free players or paid players money has nothing to do with being treated as actual customers. Communication is a sign of respect between the owners and the users plain and simple.

yeah I am with karma on this one. He isn't QQing or anything merely just making a statement.

your "it is free" argument is so trolling it isn't even funny.

What karma is asking for is the standard maintenance and upkeep of the game... You are bringing up a QQ about how you weren't rewarded enough in game... Do you see the difference?

One affects basic playability of the game and the ability for ALL to log in and enjoy the game.... The other is a QQ about getting a bonus which doesn't affect the whole community (since it worked for a lot of us). Most should admit if you take a problem of "cant play due to issues in game after mait" and "I am not getting to use DRT and bonus exp/tp weekend" and compare them they are in completely different leagues.

Also if I am not mistaken in the EULA it does say that the maintenance of the servers is on GF/RW or something to that affect.... yet says nothing that would be directly tied to your trolling. Plus that communication of a company is common courtesy.

Apples and oranges my friend.

Here's how I see businesses:

If you're a business, you need communication with your customers, and proper support, etc. You can make a game appear "free", but as long as your intent is to make money out of it, you are a business, and is to be treated as such.

If your quality, support, etc are not up to business standards, and you use "its free" as an excuse, then players will do the same. They will treat you as not a business, and go F2P. You will stop getting money, and we'll see how long a "free" game will last.

The only case where "free" should be used as an excuse is a non-profit organization. They are not a business, and you give them money out of the goodness of your heart.

I log in every few months these days, I could care less about the xp/tp event as a whole. I am trying to point out that you are asking for communication on this point, but bash on other people for doing the same in another thread. Hypocrisy at its finest gentlemen, and you don't even realize you are doing it. :cookie:

Ghost, let me help you to understand the difference so you are not confused anymore...

in another thread i didnt bash anyone for asking for communication AT ALL, i stated that the people complaining are bitter because they bought dias for a xp/tp event and even if they didnt get to use the full event, they could save resets for a possible future event and that its not a waste of their money to save those resets, at no point in my tiny post did i mention a lack of communication from gameforge OR bash anyone at all, and the post i made after gigi that said "its not a waste of money if you save them for a future event " was to encourage him to save his extra resets after he posted that he was losing money by buying those resets

the communication was already previously (before the second xp/tp event) announced that "gameforge didnt have the documentation for the tool they used"

gameforge also had very clear communication from mentors throughout that entire issue, even if it was to say "we are working on it"

and now on to this thread....

14 hour maintenance, and not a peep from gameforge. many things in the game have stopped functioning correctly or broke completely, and still not a word from gameforge, what was supposed to be a regular maintenance created a ton of issues and no one knows what happened, and still not a word from gameforge...

get what im saying yet... doesnt matter how many dias you "do or dont" buy/spend, or who is pay 2 play or free 2 play, the fact that gameforge is ignoring the issue is bad because the first thing that ThePit said when he took over was that there will be clear communication between gameforge and its playerbase, and guess what... still not a word about the maintenance issue

where is the communication on an important matter that affects EVERY player in some way and not just a few players, if ANY content is uplayable then maybe we should know why so we know to avoid certain things in the game, i know several people (2-3) that wont play yet because they are paranoid that a rollback is coming now, but how would anyone know if there is no communication at all

now do you understand?

Edit: and btw yes i would love a cookie, thank you
