I will quote myself here and discussion about your ban will stop right here, Heddin. This was through a month ago and you were given the the little finger to discuss this in the forum before, you will not be given a whole hand. I will only go this far: Stop telling outright lies on the forums. All you post lately is a pure negativity campaign against the Support and/or GF and we will not have that on the forum. If you are pissed off angry because Support "locked your support account" because whatever you did in the tickets, that is up to them.

There's an obvious difference between going afk for a while, and setting up completely automated farming and looting with your toon for days and nights straight. Go figure. Support is able to make a difference, there are humans working in there and they do have a brain.

You really think you found a loophole just because you can go away while your computer at home with stable internet runs ROM on a char that stands around with autoretaliation skills from a strong toon and having your pet loot all the mobs killed by your skill for days and nights straight? really? Think again. Stuff like this certainly does not need a clarification in the terms of use just because you did not use an external botting tool or clever use of ingame macros for it. If it constitutes for a bot, it will be treated like a bot.


Use common sense people, nobody is gonna ban you for being afk 10minutes or something with that buff on (while it is technically not allowed even for this short period!)- being observed doing it after being reported and checked and still standing there auto-afk gaining XP/TP and loot days and night is a whole different story.

TL,DR: If you interact with mobs you have to be available at the computer. You can do all the things described above and do whatever else at your computer at the same time (watching a movie etc), but you have to be available to atleast be able to respond in case someone official is coming to check on you and talking to you. There are and will be certain checks for it, and if you completely fail those checks, you simply got what you deserved.

---- About "new afk rules" in general , honestly, i find the title a bit misleading.

Pretty much all of the list is a clarification, the original issue to bring it up in the first place was weapon leveling while afk.
Which was on the "forbidden" list at first but after giving it some thought and reading through some feedback it was decided by ThePit and Support that they will label it as ok to do. So the thread on US only contains the end result, not the back and forth of it being not allowed at first, and having a re-decision after the weekend. (The original german statement was posted on Friday evening before the one you have in the forum now, plus an update statement on weapon afk leveling on Monday)
Support's stance on that was "this is the same like botting" before and if you remember my long post from a while ago where I also stated that weapon leveling was not allowed while afk it was simply because this was the information I had from Support at that time

Other points have been simply added because a lot of people fail to apply common sense or to simply stop trolls from asking this stuff over and over again and "demanding clarification/a statement right now if i can still remove debt in the guild castle via the library" (yes, that happened ... a LOT) etc.

So, to be frank, a lot of stuff in the thread is for "here, read the thread, don't ask the same question for the 500th time you troll, don't waste my time". Because this is what happened on DE on that said weekend ... not that it did affect me much, but in the end most of the things on the "allowed" list which are really really obvious are on it for that reason. To have a single thread to point to. And it was a global statement in the end

So if you really think it through it could also be labeled "Weapon leveling while afk is explicitly allowed as of yet", for everything else refer to older official statements (e.g. those from Silberfuchs, Zalmah, Dionaea, etc) about doing stuff while afk. Because there happened no change in the RULES for the other things on the list, at all.

Take it more as a reminder, and also, that enforcement can and will happen, which probably is the biggest difference to the past.

And please, you do not need to tell me that it has not happened yet for every applicable case (or that you do not have seen it happen yet ), or to point out that we cannot be everywhere 24/7/365 - I am quite aware of that. We're only humans after all, be it on the board, as GMs in the game (where most of you currently only might have seen me during the live events, and apart from that, Kiareko from Support), and those persons working for Support Getting stuff done always takes its time but we're on it, and I'm currently really confident about it

And a last thing to the faction of "they won't do anything to anyone anyway, because they lack the means and the persons to do anything, do whatever the hell you want".

I'd strongly advise against this, really. A lot of stuff went by unenforced in the past, and currently still IS.
It is changing already and it is certainly not going to stay unenforced.
