Are things still alive and kicking?

I've been away from this game for quite some time now and was wondering how everything is. Do a lot of ppl still play the game or has it just been slowly dying for some time now? Is it even worth coming back to? Last time I played the lvl cap was around 60 or 65 if I remember correctly...so its been quite some time...

Its not slowly dying but other than for sw most are alredy lvl cap and thus have nothing to do ingame so they either make an alt or just wait til sw to log on.

Why go to the trouble and time to make an alt when it's easier and faster to come here and complain that the game is dying because the starting zones are empty?

Just saying.

I am. Our guild has 3-4 toons working below level 60.

I think part of the problem is the folks that have "left" for greener pastures, per se, have come back. The only issue with that is once they come back, they realize that their once all powerful level 65, 67 or 72 toon is no longer top of the line geared or leveled, realize its going to be too much work (and potential money) to get the toon back to max level again and just up and give up and leave. I almost had this issue as when I "left", level 67 was the level cap. When I came back, the level cap was going to level 80 in a few days. I almost did the same thing and gave up because of the amount of work it may potentially take to get back up to geared and level cap. I've had several people on my friends' list do the same thing.

I just got back myself not too long ago; but have been taking some time off until the Pumpkin Festival is over. I might be gone a little longer however (can't say why or I risk my post being removed again). :whistling:

I will just say that I am rolling through the pvp while I am away! Been having a bit too much fun with it too; I might not come back! :doofy:

I managed to get a toon to level cap (55) where I am currently....is that allowed? I mean, if I am not talking about the game, can I at least talk about what I am doing? ....what ever.....

Back on topic I suppose.....

RoM is a little light in the start areas. When I started all of my new toons (had to switch servers after starting new on a server with apparent - issues) I didn't see anyone for hours it seemed. Although once I got to Logar I would see the usual spammer, spammer, level 55 return player wondering where to go and what to do, the guy with the guild he wants to recruit new players to after the old players bailed out for what ever reason..... so yeah, things seem normal to me, at least after the start areas. Some changes I have noticed since my return:

Resource costs for combining from green to blue have been reduced to 4 green (sand, timber. bundle) per 1 blue (down from 6); also, you can now right click an upgraded resource and turn it into its lower level components, which you couldn't do before.

Level cap has increased. I can't remember what it was when I left; 55 I think, so its been a while for me.

Thats really all I have noticed since I got back. I had some issues with the current event and figured it was better to "AFG" for the duration rather then just up and quit. Besides, there is a lot I have yet to do since the cap was increased. Lots of content I would imagine that I am looking forward to.

Guess I made an impression.... 8|

Join a guild siege with them and you will find yourself with enough friends to help you reach the level cap rather quickly and people will start to be more evident.

How many more threads can be open by people who never posted on the forums before, and ask the same lame question. The game is fine, they have put ressources in it, people are coming back to it, except those who got permaban for hacking and duping, didn't need those either. So come in and enjoy yourself and play the game for FUN.

Don't take advice from a person like NAMR who has 6 posts on the forums.

Some people left the game, some people got jobs, some people have school, some people play in the morning or at night, depending of their time zones, personal situation and lifestyle.

Try it out yourself and see for yourself, don't get opinion from haters of Gameforge or ROM, too many post here that do not even play the game, they come here to QQ just because they cannot play and enjoy this awesome game.

HAVE FUN!!!!

Hey don't knock someone for their amount of posts. New rule remember, one forum account per person. Even though this is my oldest account, its also has the fewest posts

But back on subject.... it's the holiday season in the U.S, you can expect low population for at least another month. Believe it or not, the game is still alive. I don't agree with the lack of communication on the part of Gameforge, but they do seem to be trying to fix things. If you are a new or returning player your best bet is to join a guild and join your servers trade channel. There are people willing to help, you just have to ask. :P
