Bug fixes:

1. Boss “Blind Hackman” and “Resentful Hackman” are available again
• Zone crashes caused by those bosses should no longer occur

2. “Zurhidon Costume” is now only usable in quest area
• Quest: "The Way of Deception” and "The Way of Deception [daily]"

3. ”No. 53 Punisher” should drop “Corpse Sample” now
• Quest: “The Truth Behind the Kulech Myrmex Attack”

4. The stats of the cape “Fruit of Growth” have been adjusted
• Item stats were too high
• We are working on a compensation for players who have used shop items to upgrade "Fruit of Growth"

5. General naming rules for character and guild names apply now on server “Midir”

6. Server "Midir" is now correctly labeled with a small Italian flag in the server overview

7. Italian localization has been improved

meh, they took away the fun zhuridon costume? darn...at least Hackman is back...Italian server is meh, doesn't apply to us...at least its Halloween!!

all in all, new event, but really nothing else to get excited about...

I feel bad for those people with the nerfed item...

Woulda been happy a week or 2 ago. Now they can just keep the Halloween event.

Halloween's an October event. Far as Im concerned it's over and should be done with once Nov 1 daytime hits. ((shrugs))

I waited for this all year and they wait til the last moment to put it up.

Makes me wonder if we'll get the Xmas event before new years.

Myste, this is the fall festival or Pumpkin festival as ROM calls it. It has nothing to do with our halloween and if my memory is right it is always applied around now.

I've always thought of it as the Halloween event and I doubt many can blame me, and I know it's always continued on into November, until the next one kicks in (the one I always think of as the Thanksgiving event even though i am Canadian lol) but I remember it starting earlier than the last day or 2 of October.

...didn't see mention of the extra mini game either. Hope I either missed noting it or it just didn't get mentioned but will be there.

Edit: though I guess I shouldn't say *always* as my memory is based mostly on last year

It was a quest reward cape that had a TON of stam on it iirc. It was probably one of the best quest rewards at the time based on the stats on it.

Hopefully they didn't nerf any other quest blue items. I see a lot of people in siege using the newer quest gear, some of which are decent, not as good as Hardmode gear and lacking a bit in Pdef/Mdef, but still decent nonetheless.

I just wish they actually posted everything they change in these damn patches. For example they nerfed the EoJ quest (which I touched upon in BB's Bethomia Post) by cutting it in half....

Wonder what else secretly got ninja nerfed/buffed/changed/make me not want to play.

I don't understand why they always nerf EoJ's. Although EoJ's does have the advantage of being spammable, timewise, it is still a rather slow and boring process to get a stat porior to this nerf (1 hour per stat, 2h per decent stat since half the stats are crap, assuming each stat have equal chance to occur, which does not happen...). And don't even start on the "better" Capital stats that are 99% crap...

EOJs Aand Mentos

Now that u mention ive been meaning to gripe for a looong time about how u no longer get good stats at all from eojs and mentos. I mean whats the purpose of mentos if all ur gonna do is give us crap stats that no endgamer even wants to touch. Especially like on my server only one guild really even runs the end game stuff so ur just leaving everyone else to sit back and take another year to get to where other players are. Thats not exactly a way to keep ur players.

This may be the exception to the rule, but for dps casters, you can get good usable stats from EOJ's in Sarlo. I haven't seen any usable melee stats, but not all stats from EOJ's are junk.

Even for casters, there are MUCH more crap stats compared to good stats. The chances of getting a good stat is minimal.

you can get [str/pa, dex/pa, stam/pa, int/stam, int/matk, stam/def, wis/hp Disorder/elemental] for 200/190 eoj, and [int/hp hp/matk int/matk, hp/def, patk/hp] for 260 Eoj. See above link. YOU CAN GET THE SAME STATS WITH EOJS THAT YOU CAN GET WITH PHIRIUS SHELLS.

Some stats are more difficult to get, but int/stam disorder for example is very common on indigo. I think these are usable, no?

Also, available from Bethomia easy/normal mode, and belathis easy/normal mode:

hp/matk, stam/matk, int/matk, stam/def, hp/def capital/mist and a few others. Bosses 2,4 in beth easy and boss 1 in belathis easy drop all of those mentioned stats. Use random extractor to get the XI and XII stats off and you're good to go -- beth easy is solo farmable, and I managed to solo belathis easy 1st boss, but the npc and I died once so maybe it too is solo farmable. I duo belathis, 10min per 1st boss kill, got 2 items with int/matk on them in 1.5 hour.

Also, if you do all 3 channels of EoJ in say chrysalia, you can get 105x 3 = 315 eoj in 1 hour. If you farm on more then one toon at a time like I do, you can get 400-500 Eoj in an hour (among 2 toons) i.e 2 stats an hour. BTW you can do eojs in chrysalia comptely naked (no gear) so its a decent way for new players to get stuff.

I agree. Every year they celebrate after the holiday instead of before... It's rather depressing. Seems like they're asleep at the helm.

The Energy Drink EOJ quest is gone too, at least the daily is still there.

How about Osha zones being reduced to 1 channel? Are we downsizing?

The mail server is going really slow now... did the FedEx fleet get grounded and sent on horseback?

I was up and running an hour ago but then got dc'd and can't get back on from any of my computers. Anyone know if Osha is still alive? MMO Server Status thinks it is, but when I log in I get to 100% progress and it never loads now. ps. RW no, it's not my antivirus and I'm not going to reinstall.

Not that I can log in right now since Reni has been having issues...

But are there any other "ninja nerfs" that anyone else has found besides EOJ's being beaten down again?

RW wanting to nerf just about anything that's good for the players is getting really old.

Seems like what's in my attached image is becoming more and more true of RoM with almost every patch...

WTB name change on my alt toon due to P/S IB nerf.

It's not a nerf, but I think it is a bug. Almost all of the mobs in Sarlo have two cards listed now. Both with different stats. I believe all the "new" cards have less of a stat--ie 3def instead of 4def for one, and a lot of +1 stats. Some of them randomly purple cards. And old purple cards have a blue card listed now. Did some farming, got some old cards I already had, no new ones, so probably not dropping. Just seems rather strange.

On the plus side, the nonattackable wolves near the start are attackable now. Already got one of their cards.

Also made a post in bug reports about the title you get for clearing Lyliya's Magic House (stats suddenly changed, and not in line with a rank 4 badge).

Which one is it? Is it the asking NPC's to see if they have eggs that you mentioned in another thread?

yes. Getting there naked or with nearly no gear might be difficult without a portal, but the only monsters nearby are yellow named so once there you can do it naked.

And technically I have done the potion delivery quest (Continued Assistance: Research) naked as well but not without some risk (aka death lol).
