Let poor horsey be. You don't win friends or influence people by implicit assumption that people you are talking to are idiots and just have no clue what is going on without your valuable input over and over and over and over and over and over.

So things ARE changing thanks to our valuable input. Great to know that, and great to see that the input is changing the game.

If gameforge doesn't listen to it's community, it's gameforge's fault for the downfall of rom

If the players do not speak out about the problems with the game, it is the players fault for not bringing it to gameforge's attention.
This is true and I 100% agree with you. However, as Pinkhat has stated, it's been beaten like a dead horse over and over again.

"stop and think for a minute here.
would you want to start playing a game if your first visit to forums was filled with this game is dying and do we even have a sales team type threads."

What ever makes you think that they could find that thread in all the Server Down threads, even if they got past the unable to log in threads to the password problem threads. Then maybe they would see all the broken quest and event problem threads but it is not those threads that would cause the new player to think at all. It is the all to terrible Is there a Sales Team thread that would scare them away. Some how when you asked that question you didn't stop and think for a minute.

I did think about it before i posted. My daughter was going to try this game untill she saw this thread and the other one that was renamed.

Then she is a careful shopper who reads what other people think. She is also well advised to be warned away until there is a serious effort to resolve the problems. There are two questions to be answered what is going to be done and when. There are major problems now and the players are being ignored. If down the line management ever starts to respond, there will be plenty of good threads to show it. Then it may be wise for her to start the game.
At one time the forums were full of threads about different class combos, weapon and skill choices and game play. The game was working well then and management was responsive.
Now the threads are about problems and management indifference.
You would not believe how much I want the old threads back and look forward to that. But now is not when that will happen until there are some response to the players.
Don't get mad at the people who point out the problems as your posts show, get mad at management which causes them. Only then will they be fixed.
What has been done is nothing more than rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic no one is plugging the holes. People are taking to the lifeboats There has not been an original sale in ages every sale is just the same one that happened a few months back. You only have to look at the thread that management started on what items people wanted in the cash shop back in March and how after making people jump all sorts of hoops to find the items and coding for them to put the items back on sale and then having management totally ignore it. Had there been a sales team those items would have all been in the cash shop in a week or month at the latest.
How would have felt if she started the game as the last event started and was unable to get in to play after spending all the time loading the game, seen all the non working events and endured the constant server downs and shutdowns ? And things still aren't working right Is that really what you want her to go through to start playing the game? Invite her back after they fix the game but not in a vague hope that they may.

I don't always agree with BB... but when I do it is because he is right.

I mean everything on here I agree with pretty much.

We need to let our concerns be known, cause if we don't, They will think the problems are fixed. If that happens then they wont do anything. Technical support and Forum support I think has drastically improved over the last year. However the Sales team, REMAINS clueless. RW either doesn't care about fixing issues, or cant fix them still. The customer service part of GF seems to do the best they can, and make promises.... which they are probably authorized to do, but then they take forever if they ever get fixed.

If we sit back though and don't say anything... nothing will change. This reminds me of a Satellite TV company I used to work for. If employees weren't complaining about how we treated our customers... then things would have never improved. They moved slow as molasses even with our complaints.

Not me, Matron.

But, surely, this is not your first run into community that is firmly convinced that failure to thrive is invariably and completely someone else's fault and they are blameless? That is basic stuff from even remedial victimology classes.

Right. Since this is a criticism thread, you are openly allowed to say what you believe the issue is; since it is NOT the sales team (in regards to the topic title).

What is it then? The players are just expecting too much that has been a standard for... chapters? Elaborate. Maybe you can make us understand why this sales team is not failing its customers, and possibly driving them away.

I've been to the forums of games that were highly anticipated AAA+++ games that people said "would kill RoM and replace the current MMO giant".

They they were filled with complaints and doomsday threads.

So no, I don't think it would hurt RoM overall that much to have a few threads like these. Every game forum I've been to has them. But the question is, is anyone listening?

The sad thing is the only way things will change is when the spending habits of the community change.

Example: The +16 gems for 80 plus gear. If they sold them in the Gasha Packages and you only had a random chance of getting one and they sold well then why should Gameforge sell them right out.....I do know a few people that did spend a bundle to obtain plus 16 on a few pieces of lvl 80 plus gear.
It would not be in GF's best interest to just sell the gems like they have in the past if they can get us to spend more on a random chance at a random chance. Not much difference than a casino in the fact that the House always wins.

you know a few people who bought gashas for the chance to get a +16 jewel. I guess we will never know, how many diamonds would have been spent, if they just put the jewels directly on sale. I just don't know what they think they are doing with this kind of sales strategy.

And we have.... Infernal trio for sale. Thanks, sales team.

Let's look at the definition - http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/infernal

in·fer·nal adjective \in-ˈfər-nəl\
: of or relating to hell
: very bad or unpleasant

Yep. They got it right.
