Advent Lottery

So, i see you put up the advent calendar... removing the view new posts tab in order to use it... trouble is it's already december 1st here in Aus... and nothing happens when i click on the random moving number one (it's not always in the same spot when i reopen the calendar). i guess we here in Aus will have to run on the US time zones in order to get anything from the calendar.

Hmmm... I see US version of calendar, but not AU one. Also, no german or french, but I see polish.

Are you accessing AU version, dropbear?

I also am bothered that they removed the New Posts button.. that was basically all I ever used on the forums. Is there really no way to squeeze it in? Or is there perhaps a link I can use manually?

New posts should be this one, feel free to bookmark: http://board.us.runesofmagic.gameforge.c…h&action=unread

Or use the dropdown menu in the search box in the upper right corner of the forum to have multiple options to view new posts.:)

And we're keeping an eye on the increase of forum accounts just in case, but from what I see this thing should pretty much not be abusable in the way of previous calendars ;)

As for US/AU: there is only one forum installation...

They accidently allowed you to open up the first advent prize a few hours ago, now fixed.

Won't spoil the prize, but according to the description inside, not everyone gets it. You enter a raffle for a chance to win the prize.

Unless they change it, probably going to be a lot of QQ soon.

Where is the so called "Lottery" tab?

when you open door one, at the top of the announcement are two tabs, the one you are viewing and another that is greyed out as you are not viewing it. it is marked Lottery. just click on it to open that tab. hope that helps anyone else that is looking for it.

Im fine with the lottery, aslong as the prizes are actually worth the effort. 7day ferret mount, meh. :/ also not sure if its just 1 winner or top 5 or something. would be great to get confirmation on that.

O.o

If today's advent is the way all of them are going to be I guess I won't be bothering this year.

Who the hell does an advent calendar where it's entirely possible you won't get anything?

It's probably running off CET time, like last years Calendar did.

Probably the kind of people that learned from last years mistake of making a Calendar that could be exploited. It wasn't their fault, but a small number of players will always ruin it for the rest of us.
I applaud Gameforge's efforts this year and I hope we'll see a good variety of items each day.

It's a solution, but it's not a good one.

I'd be interested in knowing how many players bother to enter a lottery for such a temporary item, especially when there's supposed to be so few winners.

I find it ridiculous, but I seem to be saying that a fair amount around here lately.

Good luck to those who do enter.

I entered only because the participate button was on the advent thread i was reading, so thought might as well.

Ok so this is a lottery?? mmmhhh are they registered to hold a lottery??

Also a lottery for a 7 day mount?? like really?? too hard to give away a permanent mount to the winner, loll, that is very sad.

Well hopefully they give us codes for the mount and we can pass it along a new player that might pop up on the server.

Really not that great of an effort on this one, sorry

A lottery is a slap in the face to your customers.

19

Sunday, December 1st 2013, 5:33pm

A lottery for a seven day mount when 99% of the player base (And almost surely everyone that bothers to read the forums/homepage) already have a permanent mount. What a slap in the face... if the whole calendar is like this I guess I won't participate.

Bring on more concept art, like last year. Then everyone can be a winner, and not just a whiner.
