Looking for some Mage advice.

Currently I'm M/P/W, but I'm considering rerolling Warrior to Knight, because the concept of "Light Mage" is more appealing to me. Are there significant balance differences between the two?

m/k has more PvP oriented/useful skills than m/w(pve dominant mage). while all mages are decent at PvP to begin with(kinda like rogues and warden), m/k gets enhanced armor and a spammable instant, among other things(including a nifty "oh, crap" skill)...m/w doesn't have much in the way of PvP...

however, if u are m/p, that would still be a better combo for PvP than m/k IMO, but at that point it's more personal pref(survivability due to defense or heals/immune)

my r/p can outdps r/m. your name is stupid.

mages should stack dex. word.

Is the PvE viability of M/K any good? I'm primarily interested in PvE, but M/W is a little stale for me.

haven't seen too many m/k around, but to my understanding, whatever mage has best flame spam is top DPS, and m/w has best flame spam...maybe post-burn other mages catch up, idk...

PvP: m/p = m/k > m/w
pve: m/w > m/p > m/k

or, like heddin said, k/m in mage gear is like a w/m in mage gear....

If you want to hit 1mil + on trash; If you want to be 1 of the top dps, if you want to be end game; consider WARRIOR/MAGE on mage gear instead. Its Purely the best option without having to spend resets / resources. w/m is better dps than KNIGHT/MAGE or MAGE/WARRIOR. it makes your rom adventure a lot easier and you can solo farm things on your own.
