Yeah Rusty, I am not saying enough of a nerf to break the class. Just not as OP as it was. When the damage values for the r/m came out vs bosses and they were seen as the highest of all classes I think we knew there was a rebalance coming. I am figuring kinda like the w/m rebalance, which took lightning burn down from 100% of both skills to 75%, Effectively taking dmg from 200% to 150%, so like a 25% reduction in those skills DPS. I figure something like that for the R/M through the t/ct changes. Which is why I say it should be expected since it happened to W/m already. Will they still be near the top of the DPS list, yes.
The part about rogues going to scout, is IF, big IF, they put Scouts as the new FoTM. This wouldn't be that hard even with only a few skills being altered. Look at how many times 1-2 skills made the difference with other classes being OP or not. I mean they would just have to jack up the Dmg of wind arrows too much, add a dex modifier to it and reduce focus costs. Or with autoshot make it do a lot more dmg. After all buffing autoshot dmg is the equivalent of upping a w/m lightning burn... a constant dmging skill. An over adjustment in such a skill would take it from where it is to the top of the DPS chart. So lets not say it is not possible, just because only a few skills are being changed. Unlikely, but possible.
I, however, think them becoming the next flavor of the month is unlikely, however if they are, rogues will not have a hard time switching to them (which was the point I was making). I think if they do it right, this could put scouts as desired party members, more so then they are today for their buffs and not their dmg (for the most part, yes I know there are exceptions to every rule). Which is why I am therefore hopeful
