There has been an announcement about an XP event?


I mean I must really miss things on the forums, cause I haven't seen any announcement about this......


Which if that means you are being hopeful there is an exp event any time soon... then if there is not one planned for months, then they don't have to do the DRT sale for months.

As of this writing, there has not been an announcement made regarding an XP/TP event. That doesn't mean we won't have one some time in the not-too-distant future. After all, it's been rumored that the level cap may be raised to 85. ("Rumored", he said? What's he basing these "rumors" on?)

Chances are decent to excellent that a DRT sale will roll around some time before any major content addition and level cap increase, along with some sort of XP/TP event. (Copyright 2013, Kalvan)

the reason I had been asking is a few people in game were talking the other day about an xp/tp event and planning/prepping for it. I asked more info and they said there was an upcoming xp/tp event. I consider myself pretty attentive to things on the forums, so I was pretty dumbfounded to hear this. When I told them that planning is completely fine, but stopping to play the game till an exp/tp even was only going to hurt them, I got the response "it is only for a few days".. which again made my brain go "TWANG" cause again I hadn't heard anything.


I kinda assumed/hoped there would be since there was last year, but I also feel that I shouldn't expect something like that cause I would rather not expect it and be happier than a pig in... well you get the idea. Instead of being upset in case it doesn't happen

Well, I'm not saying there will be such an event during the upcoming holidays. I've certainly not seen or heard anything about it in our private and confidential IRC discussions--not that I could talk it about anyway.

But historically, whenever there is a major content patch that includes raising the level cap, there's usually been some sort of XP/TP event planned and enabled. And there has usually been a DRT sale prior to or during such events. (Yeah, I know that Osha and Reni missed out on the last DRT sale. Nothing I can do about that, of course.)

So, since I haven't heard anything concerning this, and I wouldn't be able to say anything definitive about it anyway (NDA/DPA precludes that), all I can say that it's probable and likely there will be such an event and sale.

Stay optimistic. Glass half-full, and all that.
