Diamonds and gold on AH and servers

Well on Reni this morning 3 stacks of 100 diamonds left, mainly people who play the AH buying diamonds with gold and reposting them 30K to 60K higher to make a profit. Now seeing that nobody else are reposting them, i hope it is only because people got tired of seeing this way that messed up the economy to begin with. As long as it is not because a lot have actually stopped purchasing them ;-(.

So now let's see how long it is gonna last, diamonds were steady at 130K on AH and now back all the way u to 170K per because of greedy people who as i have been told many times : i don't have time or want to gather, craft or pick up stuff for anything in the game, i am too good for that, loll. Using the diamond trade to make gold, ya it works, but now not having a lot of diamonds buyer left, let's see these free to play people asking for diamonds in world. They will blame it on bad sales, not getting the +16 jewels etc, look into the mirror and see who is responsible.

Many good people left the game, hopefully temporarely that used to buy a lot of diamonds, a lot of them. As it run dry? let's see +16 jewels on sale with no diamonds sellers on Reni, OMG i will have to buy my own diamonds with my own real money nnnoooooo!!!! that is what they will say i am sure loll.

F2P will not help the game move forward, but keep thinking it.

A real sysadmin knows how to change the time.
If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

As much as I'd love to say I offer consulting services, the scope of things broken is too large.

This was my point zidlef. You keep griping about people putting diamonds in the AH but guess what? That will always happen! It's an easy and quick way to make money, you'd be blind, deaf and dumb not to do it if you're in a pinch. See a piece of gear for 30 million on the AH and you only have 15 million, and it's a good deal? I don't really know a good way to make 15 million gold in a few minutes besides selling diamonds, do you?

The problem with people putting diamonds in the AH is they put 10-15 in at a time. Therefore, the gold sellers will buy them. Unfortunately, not a lot of people need 250-500 or even 1000 diamonds at a time, but listing them this way and usually the gold sellers will not buy them.

Sorry zid, but your threads don't make sense when they're made with the same exact things week after week. I guess they make sense, but they're very repetitive. We all know that the economy sucks, and that GF is improving (in some areas), but making a thread week after week about the same thing does not make much sense.

First, thanks to all those who report gold spammers, so they are banned. It is so hard for spammer to make a new toon, buy more diamonds and have the new toon start spamming.That really solves the issue of gold spamming...

... well.... it solves the issue of diamond availability. Whenever a new gold spammer pops up, I check dia auctions and almost always see the spammer name on dia buyer list. So, now diamond supply is gone, Reni is down to two auction, obnoxiously overpriced. Other servers likely the same.

And, as added bonus, we have more gold spammer gold in circulation. Instead of sitting on bad gold, they transfer it to dia sellers, and since dia sellers cant control who buy dias, GF can't even take that gold out.

Second... yes, there is "buy low, sell high". That assumes you can control the market. If you can, you make profit. If you can't, you convert liquid gold into illiquid commodity that you can't sell because someone else keeps undercutting you. Don't try this at home, kids, without knowing what the hell you are doing, and having deep pockets. It ain't no get rich quick scheme.
