/\ LOL you beat me to it HAHAH

By trying to spread rumors like this... only makes it more likely as more and more people buy into it... and the quicker it happens.

But whatever, ill continue to support a game that I enjoy. I have been happy with the way the last year has gone

1) The Gm/CM staff were quick to offer us compensation for the hackings
2) They have been giving us MORE of what we ask for in the IS... FAR more than the past
3) we get REAL answers when they staff has them, not a "I will forward your ......." which we got for YEARS as the only response.
4) we have had more GM events than the few years before this crew took over
5) A lot of the tools they have given us to make reporting faster is GREAT (we didn't used to have a report tool, the IG reporting seemed like it did nothing)
6) They really have been pretty laid back with us and letting us get away with things MULTIPLE times, and with only warnings
7) IRC... man lets just say, using it gives a GREAT tool to communicate with the GMS. I have had NOTHING but good from that
8) did we ever have a Real live chat system before? NO!
9) The CM/GMs do what they can to change the game.. Unlike other games GM does NOT EQUAL developers or even someone down the hall from the developers.

Personally I like what we have now, instead of someone that was really our only contact... that kept saying "ill forward this", "ill forward that"... and NOTHING ever got done.

This community didn't do nearly the fighting back at that time, that they are now and we have BETTER than we did.

DK you are so right in all you said, but they need their conspiracies to prove they exist. They need to create false propaganda, fear and hope it works.

Funny how the same people never say tyvm for all the good things and sees only the negative side. If you have a glass of water that is fill to the half of it, they will say it half way full, the others will say, it's half way empty, but for the love of men, can we all agree it's still half way still???

It appears some users are still unaware of the reasons that the report button should and should not be used, here is the link again and we would like to encourage everyone to read it.

The Report Button {Post #2}

Here is also a snippet from the link above for quick reference...

The Report button should 'ONLY' be used if a Moderator missed a post of the following criteria:
Spam or other unsolicited advertisement, inappropriate content or other material of an offensive nature (ie: racism, vulgarity, aggressiveness, discrimination or sexism)

Again, DO NOT use the report button unless it meets the criteria above!
  • Do not report a post because -- it is "Off-topic"
  • Do not report a post because -- it is a "Troll post"
  • Do not report a post because -- it is "A wall of text"
  • Do not report a post because -- it does not "agree with everyone else"
  • Do not report a post because -- you "do not agree with it"
  • Do not report a post because -- you "do not like the poster"
  • Do not report a post because -- you "think the poster is wrong"
  • Do not report a post because -- it has "grammar or spelling errors"

Moderators are actively monitoring posts, if a Moderator feels that a post should be edited or removed then that Moderator will take the action they feel is appropriate. A post will not be edited or removed simply because someone decided to report it.

If you would like to draw our attention to a specific post then please do it via "Private Message on the Forum" or via "Private Message on IRC".

Thank you,

That list may be improvements, but that is what we should have had from step 1, not just now. I'm sure some people understand and see it that way.

The more i read these posts and others like it cracks me up on a
serious note though zid/dk are you sure you don’t work for G/RW? i have never
seen two people defend this game to the extent both of you have damn its
not a perfect game it does need a lot of work and they (GF) need to be more
open with us the people who are keeping it going if we all stop spending
money on it they would be forced to listen but that will never happen though oh
well. i am from Osha and it still has only one channel seriously wtf is up with that? still "hardware
Issues" if that’s the case how come only one server is affected
just seems kind of odd to me that it has taken this long since Halloween
if i'm not mistaken to fix one issue kind of make me think it was intentional
but like the nerfing Dias in the AH following week dia sale with
+16’s were magically here lol but hey i could be wrong though long story
short get your act together GF customers wont always be here if you don’t
otherwise.
The next thing I noticed was the forums being so strict
and the cm’s needing to regulate so often kind of funny what happen to freedom
of speech? is not a public space where people can come and talk would say voice
their opinions but that would mean that you guys are listening I can see that
happening anytime soon would love to be wrong on that part though.

Seems to me that they spend more time regulating on the forums
than trying to improve the game I’m pretty sure this will get removed or get
threatened with a account banned on forum here is my response in advance go
ahead could care less if not then I hope you guys listen and try to get the
game back on track thank you for reading.

Gad. What a wall o' text/collection of run-on sentences/"punctuation? what's punctuation?" that was.

You left 'wiffo and I off your little "must work for GF" list. We're a couple of the old-school RoM cheerleaders here.

More often than not I think that the louder whiners around here vastly outnumber those of us who actually have a couple of functional brain cells. Most of them want stuff handed to them on a silver platter or want IS stuff that would make them far more OP than they already are, so they can burn right through any existing or future instance content the first day or three that it's made available. Or they want nickel diamonds and free nickels...

I happen to play on Osha. Yes, we have one channel. Contrary to most of the conspiracy theorists, yourself included, I tend to believe what has been presented to us by Mika and others. There is likely a hardware problem and GF hasn't been able to arrange to get it corrected. If you don't happen to like being limited to one channel, you COULD always go play on one of the other six servers for awhile. And I could always hope you'd stay there.

Yeah, they forced Osha into one channel INTENTIONALLY, then nerfed diamonds THEN made +16 gems available.

You need to get your tin foil had relined.

Freedom of speech: You (along with certain others) seem to forget that these forums are owned and operated by a private company, Gameforge. While the website MIGHT be located in the United States, since they are essentially private--you must register in order to be able to post messages--this does not mean that you, or anyone else, has a Bog-given right to post whatever you please, however you please, whenever you please. Gameforge has set up rules on this. You, as you agreed when you registered, are required to follow those rules. And so must every other person who registers here. No exceptions. Break the rules--the Terms of Service--and at the very least, your post will likely be edited. It might get "disappeared". And break those rules often enough, YOU might get "disappeared" for a period of time.

This is NOT a public space, certainly not as YOU seem to think it is.

If you had a clue, you would realize that the Community Managers, Game Masters, and Mentors (allow me to emphasize here) CANNOT "IMPROVE" THE GAME. They are not programmers. In fact, GAMEFORGE cannot program the game. That is RUNEWAKER'S area of responsibility. (Not that I'm saying Runewaker has a particularly good track record WRT "improving" the game.) The above-mentioned forum and game staff people can pass suggestions up their chains of command to the people in Karlsruhe, Germany to discuss amongst themselves and, perhaps, pass along to Runewaker, those same suggestions.

But the local people here CANNOT FIX OR IMPROVE THE GAME THEMSELVES.

Catch that clue, please. It's relatively simple and runs slowly in circles. Shouldn't be too difficult.

And finally, it's "I could not care less." If you're going to make such statements, kindly get them right. :dash:

The only thing i am going to address is...

and the cm’s needing to regulate so often kind of funny what happen to freedom

Yes, the forums are a little stricter but if you have not noticed lately, most posts that violate the "Forum Rules or ToS" will usually just get edited but not removed. In certain extreme cases posts do get removed completely, for example, attacking other "Forum users or Staff members" will most of the time result in the post being removed.

Also keep in mind the forums are constantly being organized too. So while a post or thread may seem like it disappeared, it's often just moved to the correct area on the forum.

The best way to avoid having a post edited or removed is to simply familiarize yourself with the "Forum Rules and ToS" and adhere to them when you are making a post or thread. If it does not violate the "Forum Rules or ToS", then us "Staff members" will not be as strict when we are reading posts.

Lastly, there will always be some posts that may not violate the "Forum Rules or ToS" but still need to be removed because of the content in the post but that happens on rare occasions.

The Forum Rules and ToS links can be found in my signature and in most of the Staff's signatures as well.

Sorry, but I have to stick my 0.02 dollars in here too.

I'm one of those that while critical towards Gameforge, I (usually) do it in a way that does not violate the forum rules. Can you be critical here?! Sure! I have been. But railing GF into the ground and driving a stake through the tie is no way to get it done.

Recently there's only been two good reasons to put the hate on Gameforge:

1 - While it is certainly improving, the item shop is still lacking some items which we've requested be put in there.
2 - The issues a few weeks back with the mail/AH being super laggy on at least Reni and Osha. The constant issues I've (along with several others) have faced with getting a stable connection to the servers. My ping still shoots up past 250k, I still lose approximately 25% of my packets to Reni, but no confirmation that it's being addressed (really, all the "techies" over at Gameforge would have to do is tell the Datacenter that their backbone switch/router is failing, that's where most of the problems are.

Otherwise, I'd have to fully agree with DK, Zid and Mal, things are a LOT better around here after my mini vacation from RoM 6 months ago. Stuff takes time, you can't expect to handle everything overnight.

I wish I obtained 5 gold pieces in game for every exclamation mark Zidlef uses.

I'd need to make a few alts to store all my gold caps though.

[Removed Macro Image]

Let's get back on the track with festivals. Cause all I see in page5 is criticize towards GF,(profanity removed by Moonlight and if i see more of this holidays could follow) and nothing about festivals.

I really like the festivals. They keep me ingame doing stuff. I still need to do a legendary pet with % attributes. I like getting more titles. I also want new costumes^^. Rewards are ok too like blessing of the flower god or IS stuff.
SaitoHajime said Flower Festival is up next but with no ETA when. Any recent updates on it and what's the delay for them? Maby you guys working on something else?

I know this is something that most people don't understand, but NON DISCLOSURE AGREEMENTS

let me explain this for those that have never had a job that required such a thing. It means... we keep 95% of what we are doing a secret till we decide it is time to be released to the public.

This happens for MANY reasons, (especially in the computer world), 1) it might not be ready by the initial release time, so lets not tell people a date then... not make that date. 2) a decision might be made at the last moment to remove something that was supposed to be included to hit said deadline (like the instance that wont be opening) 3) it may not have been scheduled for release till next week, but they saw how we were reacting about no new content and decided to push it up and try to get it done.

This is why companies DONT give release dates for new technology. How many times have you seen things pushed by in technology... and it caused a riot. Or they had to put out a sub par product to hit that deadline... or they didn't make enough for the deadline. For example and Ipad/Iphone release, or the PS3 release... where someone was SHOT for one cause there was a limited number.

To avoid these things companies make a decision to keep the information close to their chest until it is time and give a short notice once the plan is decided. Non-Disclosure Agreement... typical standard business practice. You dont want to know what Directv, Dish and your local Cable networks keep from you. You could call in 1 day before the release of a better piece of equipment.. and they are NOT allowed to tell you to call back tomorrow to get the better stuff..... It is part of their NDA.

Not to mention this is a game where gear prices/stats etc prices fluxuate based on new stats/etc. By releasing an earlier time frame, people might manipulate said economy, not to mention maybe stock up on diamonds during a sale when they might have to spend full price for something like this class extension.....

So stop thinking you are going to get a "stop hunting for stats and spending money, the new level cap is in 2 weeks" notice....
