Forget about f2p/p2p non sense, I have never been banned in 2+ years and new GM has catched me twice already...in 1 week. Mutes and bans by the dozen peeps, roll a toon on Palenque and get them while the server lasts.

Hide your kids, hide your wife, and hide your husband cuz they're banning errvbody out here.

maybe people need to quit thinking that just cause they got away with breaking rules for a while that they should be able to continue that behavior. If you are breaking the rules, and been getting away with it... it is just a matter of time till you get caught.

Seems like they are banning people with a reason to be banned... since you used the gear that you have "never been banned" and now been "catched".. I think the main reason is swearing afaik. I crap ton of people are being banned for swearing in game, even if they're not actually swearing at anyone in particular and just have it incorporated into their speech by habit.

@Dkjester did you knew people are getting banned for using Papp Hesoff for energies wether they respond to the GM or not? I know 2 people, 1 responded and the other didn't, they both still got the little vacation. The one who responded did talk to the GM and interacted and the GM answered back.. I guess everyone is getting a free pass on this one except Palenque. Did you know that the GM takes what someone posted on the European (not American) Facebook page and uses that to mute you although he/she wasn't physically present when the "offense" ocurred and it was not reported to support using the report tool? And finally add what Ruisen said.

Meanwhile the people who showed off their tier 17 items a couple of weeks ago are still around...sheesh.

Well if people are being banned for bad language and other things in chats, good for them, too many on Reni, call out GM's in world chat, swear at them and dares them to ban them, well you know what? they will get banned since GM's are here, they are doing their jobs and they are cleaning the game from the people who can't have an intelligent discussion without B/F or C words. Kids do play this game and should not be exposed to behavior of people who are not able to formulate a phrase without using curses, racism or slurs.


You might think all your friends talk like that and that everyone on earth talks like rappers in real life, THEY DON'T. Be civilized, stay in school, stay away from drugs and bad people. Talking like that only makes you look stupid and illiterate.

Lemon, the only reason i posted that it is only gonna end up like the 10 previous posts, yes they removed it to get rid of the gold sellers, it worked. I am sure they are working on a way to make it that people cannot resell the diamonds we will be able to purchase on AH in the future, gonna take time.

And yes i treat our F2P players the way i preach it, i am not an hippocryte, they know where i stand on the matter and understand my point of vue. They manage to get their own, but we also had a situation that some people disrespected those who were selling in world on Reni and now it has backfired on them. People never forget who disrespected them, no matter if they say i'm sorry or not. Too many think they can say whatever they want and in 2 weeks time they forget, younger people might forget, anyone who works hard for their money and spend it on a game won't.

Then people brag on how they do not need diamonds, well, we will see. When all those bags, bank spaces and house energy expires, also the cost of buying the slots in your house when the house energy expires, OUCH, did once on 100 slots, 90 expires and used up 30K energy to get them open again.

to be fair, like 90% of pal is using model folder...which is bannable...not to mention the rampant DM spam in xav...


some parties have to look for people w/o model folder to just trip the instance events for them lol

apparently all the help/support/reference/knowledge f2p players provide isn't worth a dime...ok, lets go delete the guides...BB u can take down ur YT channel...we can delete pretty much every f2p player's helpful post as well...send all the gear and items f2p players have given people back...shame we can't take the levels away that we helped with powerleveling...because, apparently, we are not positive members of this community. we shud all have a label next to our char name and forum avatar so people can treat us accordingly as well.

Well if they are using that, they know it is bannable and know what to expect, so good ridance to them. Less cheaters and losers and more fun for the legit players.

+10 Cike, thank you...I wish we'd quit hating on each other, ftp, ptp, or ptw, we ALL contribute something necessary to the game. Anyone remember the old saying 'live and let live'? Play is the word that is being forgotten here, the thing many of us worry about is our playground being shut down. I've made some wonderful friends on game, and I couldn't really give a crap if they're ftp or ptp.

They TOLD US here to NOT do it. Plain and simple. BB posted something about it, and GMs said they would NOT suggest doing it... if you are too stupid to realize when they TELL YOU NOT TO DO IT.. Then yes you deserve to get banned. We were told not to on the forums... if you continued. Plus common sense.... It was massively broken... don't abuse it. They got banned Legitly then.

People using blatant profanities and finding ways to bypass language filters... They know they are doing something they shouldn't... Hence why they have to circumvent the in game things to stop them to continue to use their profanity. If they use other ways to bypass filters.. they know they are doing something wrong... since they are trying to bypass a measure in game.

I don't care if someone built it into their lives or not. They know they are not supposed to... they still do... They get banned. Done and Done.

Yrcanoes brought this up to GF, and their decisions was that afk rules apply for Papp. You woulnd't get banned for farming him unless you were botting.

Where did this information be released? for I did not see it on the papp thread which I was watching?

Where he said his OPINION was that those rules apply but then said to not whine about his attempting you from NOT GETTING BANNED. That is somethine easily read as... you COULD GET BANNED.

NO where on that thread does it say it was brought up to GF, nor that it was an official company position. More importantly he ended making sure he was trying t prevent people from getting banned. It is MORE than a reasonable assumption it could get you banned.

Not to mention, you can't make something bannable and only say that it's bannable on an obscure post in a forum thread unless you link to that in the game. You can't just make crap up and say "that's bannable" when only a small minority of people even read the forums. Anyway the whole idea of punishing your dwindling playerbase because your game is screwed up is ridiculous. It doesn't hurt anyone to be able to get EoJ's easily. You know why the new zones never complete their EoJ event? Because it sucks. They keep nerfing any remotely simple one.

On profanity filters.. lol. How old are you guys? If you can't handle a little profanity you probably shouldn't be online. If it's intentionally calling people out and calling them things, you might have a point, but simple casual profanity in conversation is a ridiculous thing to ban for.

Anyway, this thread is ridiculous. Players in general are leaving, it's not just the F2P, and screwing over the paying players isn't going to help anyone. It's going to hurt everyone.

By this Logic then everyone that has listed anything in the Auction House for over 100million has by-passed an in-game measure and therefore should be banned.

So how many people that by pass the 99mill cap in AH have been Banned?

The game is old, gets boring relatively quickly ( not much different than any other MMO ), you get those that stick around and that is called your base clientele. If Gameforge wishes to keep the game active or alive then they should study their base clientele and figure out what ( if they have not already ) keeps them ticking and set up stuff to appease those people.

Nobody uses profanity where they work, with their parents, in court, in school with your teachers, the only time people uses profanity is when they have nothing interesting to say, let's put the F word here, i will look cool and people will notice me. :growup:

Profanity is and should not be allowed, people are playing with the letters on Reni all the time to use the words, they will get banned for it and QQ later. I remember when my guildie Matron, went F Gameforge to prove GM's existed and got a 7 day vacation within 30 seconds, he publicly excused himself to the server after that. But he was the bigger man, he doesn't have to use those words to make his point.

BTW i am 46 years old, i have 3 sons and that is why they put filters up and banning people using the curse words, i applaud them for that. Learn to write and be listened without having to curse, if you can't, maybe you have nothing interesting enough to be said or heard.

Cike i don't mind F2P players, what i hate is them for making threads and crying how they can't get diamonds off the AH, stop it already. They did that for a reason, now people can't exploit the prices of them, prices are steady at 80K to 100K on Reni and lower. Funny how no one commends the diamond sellers on making the prices go down? But ya diamond sellers aren't worth peoples time anyways, lol.

Zid, it is fine to have your opinion but there are also things in game for us swearing people. BTW I have never worked in an office where I did not hear profanity so that made me chuckle. My boss already used the F word today when she saw the stack of work placed on her desk. Anyway there is a handy feature in game where you can add all the swear words and bad words like cave that you want to see and it will un **** them. Rom has very little verbal abuse than other MMO's I have played so it really isn't too bad here. But if you sensitive enough that you can't tolerate any cursing you should log off the internet immediately and never go back. Also never turn on the TV, or go to the movies, DONT TAKE CHANCES

People will forever speak how they want and I have never seen a game successful in stopping it. I will side with Borella on this one. If you play any game online you will see profanity. Plug your headset in on Call of Duty and get ready to be cussed out by 10 year olds if you really don't believe me.

Just cause WE are old enough to deal with it, doesn't mean the playing population is made up of a totality of people old enough to be around it. Or do you say that those younger players should be driven away? Sorry, Rules say don't do it. You know what you got your guild chat, your party chat, private channels and whispers. There is NO need to use profanity in world, say or over world broadcast systems where these filters do not apply. Ok Borella, next point... so just because the player base is low... cheating, botting, gold spamming, exploiting, hacking and the like should not result in bans??? Really? Cause that is pretty much what you said.

Again though you make the point of "How old are you guys", I would turn that around, if you are old enough to deal with profanity, you should be old enough to know when you are doing something you aren't supposed to. You should be old enough and intelligent enough to go.. "wow this is so broken... I am going to report it"... instead of "ohh boy I am gonna exploit the daylights out of this thing". That is a maturity that, if you can use profanity and think others should be "old" enough to deal with it.. you should have enough to know when you are exploiting and not be shocked when you are banned.

And yes I think that people selling stuff for over 100 mil should be banned for exploiting the system. As I have not done that ever... I think 100 mil for one item is too much... plain and simple. Also your idea that GF should find that "makes us tick".. no they should first make sure they can make enough money to keep the servers running, Then think of a FAIR way to address and please MOST players. They shouldn't just go ahead and pander to everything that people want....

Most jobs look down on language like that. In fact I bet your boss that cussed... if that was reported up the chain.. they could seriously get in trouble. It takes ONE person to get upset by it and go to the EEOC.. and that is it. That is why it is better to JUST NOT DO IT. YOu know what I have worked places that frowned on it, it is NOT business worthy... Just cause you have gotten away with it, doesn't mean one day you wont get called in and dismissed over it. One sick joke that someone takes offensive... and reports it... whew. Go ahead and call the EEOC and tell them some of the jokes/language used around your business ... see what they say.

3 ways to play the game to become an "endgamer":

1. Spend time
2. Spend money
3. Do both 1 & 2

Even for new players making money isn't that difficult, but you also don't need as much at the beginning of the game. If you are truly questing and progressing through the game and events, you don't need to start tiering and statting gear until you reach 50 to 55. By that time you should have a few million in gold to get you started with the process as well as a bunch of p. tokens if you're doing dailies. By that time you may also be into pet crafting, alchemy, etc. as a means to make some gold or learned one of the farming methods and spending the time doing it.

So the real situation is that GF has made it harder to be an endgamer by only being f2p. And no one is required to have the top tier/level/stats in order to play the game; it's a choice to do so.

And if anyone takes the time to RTFF and communicate with other players it's easy to develop a gold-earning system to make millions per week. I have a method where I can make over 100 mil gold PER WEEK if I chose to do it, but i'm lazy and don't need the gold to have fun in the game.

I am not arguing for swearing in World. I do it but I stay within the filter but COMEON guys... everyone knows what was said even with the filter blocking it. Your mind makes the connection. the game filter even puts the @ for o's on some words to help you along hahaha. I am glad some of you have found a bubble to live in but where I come from people cuss and you do your best not too if kids are in the room but the Internet I have seen has no such boundaries. Go to any comment section on the web and you will find the pit of humanity. Long on any Xbox game and plug in your headset. Why would you expect ROM to be any different than any other game/MMO. People are people and you can whine about how offensive it is but you cannot change the culture that is the internet. Nor can I. Toughen up or avoid the interwebs dear sir.

100 million is not a big amount in this game. It costs way more than that to actually completely work a piece of equipment even halfway decent, converting the diamonds used into gold value. Unworked, different story. But worked, 300 mil is fairly easy number to reach, especially with the increase in cost of +16 gems.

As for profanity, I agree with DK, Zid, and others on this. There is no need for it in the game. It's a simple thing to self-censor oneself, and yes, I fail to see how no cussing limits your actions in this game.

Quick note on profanity: In game you will come across quests and NPC's that use the words "damn", "hell", and "shit" ... IMO those words should not get you banned because the game itself uses them, thus they should be perfectly acceptable based on the fact EVERYONE in game IS going to see those words regardless of any filter, just by simply questing and leveling. This includes the younger players. Anything not found in the game is fine to ban for, but banning for something found in game is kinda ridiculous.

Also, I am still selling my diamonds on Reni for 160k per, because as I said I will not drop my prices until the prices of stats drop, which is not going to happen. In fact, prices seem to be going up on stats recently, so I may have to up my prices as well. Simple economics in action, I get gouged for prices on stats, I have to recover my money somehow...and IMO my RL monies are worth more than anyone's in game gold.
