nothing wrong with sticking a name to your beliefs, even if nobody else agrees with them, but given the nature of some of the people on these forums, even i am hesitant to post certain information about my affiliations and such(not that you couldn't figure it out anyways :/).

in my experience, if everybody is anonymous, it leads to a better discussion, as there is no way to attack somebody personally if you have no idea who they are(lets be honest here...these forums have a habit of being reduced to spamming obscenities at each other for reasons unrelated to the actual discussion). they could be your best friend for all you know.

Please keep your flames down. A heated discussion we have here, but please keep the flames to a minimum or this thread might end up on the locked list.

Aqua, sorry for the Disturbance ;-( We need positive people, Gameforge are doing more for us than Frogster ever did. We got support, GM's, stuff we never had before in game etc.

Some people just like to be negative and miserable, not seeing that there is more to the community then themselves. On Reni we have so many old players returning, new players starting out, we as a guild try to help them out as good as we can. People come to forums before trying a new game, when you see such negativity all the time, from the same people time after time. Heck if they don't enjoy themselves and always complain, what are they doing here? attention? get a dog or a cat.

I love the TEAM that are helping out Gameforge to communicate with us, not perfect but at least we know GM exist and are not a myth only.

Keep up the good work people, the game is getting a whole lot better, tyvm .

Maybe I'm starting to have very little expectations, because i actually liked this anniversary lol. I enjoyed the event (even though I got dura loss, would have been nice if I didn't) and all the nice goodies I got from it.

This is also probably the first time I've seen worthwhile gashas that weren't a complete ripoff (though they should rename them into AT charge gashas or something, since that what you get 90% of the time), 13 dias for 50 charges is an unprecedented price.

But no, really. The GM event was fun, it was so great to see so many of them in game, you could tell they put real thought into making it a good event. But the GM's are players. It was like us doing stuff for us. Which in all seriousness is great! Thanks guys! But, ummm, with a one day 100% dia sale, no xp boost AT ALL, and the gotchas plus last week's sale, it feels like Gameforge kinda said, "this year, they gonna do stuff for US, it's OUR anniversary!"

The players brought them goodies and not the other way around.

Think about it for a sec. They just unveiled the new class expansion tickets, so everyone and their cousin was either smart enough to get em when they went on sale, or erm, went nuts on gotchas, and now has one or multiple classes to get to at least 70, and no quests to do. So, daily tickets and double or triple xp would have been a no-brainer. Why on earth wouldn't you? Are they just mean?

Hm. Dislike the gashas but they've been a good source of cheap AT charges for my Mage to start gearing up. Since the anniversary is on March 18, wouldn't the good sale be next weekend? Hopefully this isn't it, it's a bit pitiful

So, after crunching in the numbers, I got AT charges 68% of the time (All of it were gasha 4). If we assign a value of 0 to all other items (the others I got were around 10 transform pots, 5 or so food towers, a nice surprise orb that didn't have a nice surprise, and 2 packages of gratitude), that's 0.39 diamonds per charge.

AT charges are 0.5 diamonds per charge during 50% off sales, so this would be another 22% cheaper than 50% off.

ruisen2000: Yes, the charges were cheaper than usual. On the other hand, you can always make few alts just to get charges for free

Not to mention, that there are not many reasons to make new weapons in these days anyway. Plussing became expensive like hell, some of the lvl 85 weapons are useless (dagger, hammers...)

Can't really say anything about the gm event, since it was on Friday at 18 pm on my server and due to the late annoucement time I was stucked at work at that time.

All and all I could imagine this as a celebration of Halloween or maybe thanksgiving day, but a celebration of 5th birthday? That is just lame

@cike - that kind of mentality is exactly what I was trying to break from when I made the thread for the real life pictures. I have posted in my sig what server I am on, what toon I play, and what guild I am in, and have now posted real life pictures of myself along with telling people if they are in FL to give me a shout and to see if we can ever hang out. No one has insulted me personally based on any of that information, and actually I have been tracked down in game by people from other servers who just wanted to say hello or to chat with me on a more live basis. Why keep the walls of anonymity up? It does nothing but hinder progression of the community at large imo.

@thread - The GM team does not know exactly how to do an xp event right now, look at the last two attempts. Something is wrong with it. Some part of the documentation that they didn't get during the handover has yet to be figured out. Do I think that if this is all they do for 5 years of this game being active that that is not enough? Yes. Hell yes! There really needs to be MUCH more forthcoming in the next few days. Do I really think there will be? No. Hell no! I have been made into a skeptic by this game and the attempts to do anything amazing by the powers above. That said however, I would love to be pleasantly surprised and see some fantastic things like a major sale on diamonds (that don't get repo'd from us...), big ruby bonuses, an xp/tp event (not a friggin npc...) and free stuff just for logging in dropped right into player bags once per day for like a week.

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. I hope that we get all that awesome, but I am prepared to get exactly nothing.
