Dkjester u should be aware that the item wont be on itemshop permanent if it was then we would get more new player who would stick around longer and not play a little then leave. Gameforge and Runewaker should make it easier for new players to lvl up for the reason that there not many low lvl who run low instance or willing to help those who are new on the game like it use to be back in chapter 1, 2 and 3.Lemon? What does it hurt to have a new player be 50/50/50? Not like they are gonna get a huge jump on getting to 85 on just one of the characters. I mean how long will it take? It is not like at 50/50/50 they can really go through and ruin any runs, no one runs level 50 instances and if they do they can solo them anyway.
I think it gives new players a good way to jump ahead and still leave some quests to continue leveling. I wouldn't call it an easy button. I mean yeah some people will be able to pick up another class and get to /50 quick and then get their elites. But how does that make it any harder than it has been? It doesn't. It just no longer requires someone to get powerleveled. I mean this orb gets someone to 50... that takes me like 15 minutes or less in Tosh for any of our characters. This will wont change things for MOST people.
It does however entice new players to get a jump in the game, and maybe play with more of the complexity and possibly then stay. Which gets more new players. Which a lot of people claim is a problem with the game ATM. They will learn their class more than enough going from 50 to 85... not like I learned more about my classes 1-50 than I did 50-80.
Plus to get new players into a game it HAS to have an "easy" or "easier" button. that is what players EXPECT with older games. If I started brand new in a game that is 5 years old, I would expect getting to 1/2 the level cap to be easy at this point. That is how gamers think. People need to throw off the "it was this hard for me, so it needs to be that hard for ALL new players, or ill throw a hissy fit". Or do you like ghost towns?
