You don't learn to play your class from 1-50, let's be honest here. Most classes can get by levelling with like.. one skill. It teaches you nothing about the way your class works in an instance or in PvP whatsoever while levelling 1-50. Not at all. I think the powerup pill is silly.. and i'm not sure why anyone would buy it.. but to each their own I suppose. Just another way for people to pay their way through I guess. Not too far away from just selling levelled toons at this point.

imo, 1-50 are some of the best levels of the game FOR ME. others may hate it. i think it's cool that there is an option that people can use if they want, but i do think that it should be limited to 2nd/3rd class/characters. not that people learn how to play their class in levels 1-50, but they learn how to play the game itself. might not be as big of a problem for mmo veterans and such, but for a new player, i would still heavily advise against trying to get powerleveled in any form. however, if they want to just jump to endgame/lvl cap, by all means go. but from experience, i know that some of the midgame CAN BE the most enjoyable.


just my humble opinion. this does not really mean everybody feels this way(heck, i think most people think the opposite), just another way to enjoy the game.

on topic: power up pills/XP orbs in IS really don't impact me in any way. if thats how u want to go fine. i think it's great for alts. i will just keep advising newer players to at least try the lower levels before they decide to rush through the game. if they heed my advise, good for them, and i hope they have fun. if they don't, good for them and i hope they have fun. i couldn't care either way, as long as they are playing the game how they want.
