while I take the "if it looked op, you shoulda thought a nerf was coming" standpoint on most things...


It is true it is a HEALER wand.


Our pocket healers have good health and their heals REALLY aren't lacking by any means. That being said... I have put no where NEAR the money in them as I have our other characters. What really will another 1k healing power do? 2k? I mean yeah so everyone might switch to this wand.... ok. it is easy to get... ok that means people might be more willing to play healers with it.

More healers... ok cool, where is the down side?


It would be completely different if it was a wand for w/m with 1.0 swing speed, or a magic staff with 18k dmg.. No one is gonna go.. "OMG that wand is so OP on healing.... I am dropping my rogue and going Priest/Druid!!!!"

I don't have anything invested in this situation, cause I don't have one of these... but you left it in a little long to then change it. Unless they FULLY refund items, like give them the stones, the gems (that were used, or a gem that will guarantee it to another weapon-- like an instant gem that puts a weapon at +16), etc back... then I think changing it was kinda lame. I don't know the case with that cape.. but if it was a tank cape... it shoulda stayed the way it was too. Not like there is a massive number of people wanting to play a tank

agreed with borella...healers in RoM have it so easy. healer is the easiest, cheapest, and lowest requirement class to gear. pretty much all staves/wands are OP at this point. nerfing one just because it is slightly more OP is just pointless, and all it does is piss off the people that decided to get/enhance it.

if you want to make healing a challenge, the whole system needs a rework. not an single "OP" weapon.

heck make all heals heal 1m HP per cast, and nothing will change. can't heal a 1 shot, so all undergeared parties will wipe like they do now, while parties with adequate gear can just easily do strat without fear of dieing like they do now, and OP parties can just burn it down like they do now.




slightly on topic: wtb ch2 druid. was actually challenging and fun. this ez-mode 2 button spam druid is no more complex than a priest...
Druid is IMO the most versatile healer class. I use my druid with all 5 of my secondary classes... Sky is the limit. If your druids are spamming 2 buttons, I'll take a guess at Mother Earth Fountain and Recover then they really dont know how to play their class. Tell your 2 button spamming druids to learn debuffs/buffs and then see how different your runs go. Back on topic, the Dreamland Staff was ONLY good for its HPIP. Without that large increase it was pointless to use. Which is why it is no longer good, at all.

Who's idea was it to have the Dreamland Staff nerf in the first place ?. Did people complain about it being better then another wand ?. It always sickens me when mid game items or whatever are modified and player have to bare the cost.

Gameforge should accept responsibility for the items they allow us access to in their "Cough" beta testing of game features before we have access to them. Giving people access to items and giving them time to spend money on them and then pulling the carpet from under their feet happens just too much in this game.

Regardless of a healer wep having a lot or little heal bonus means nothing when party members die from a hit higher then their HP (1 Hit), so what about broken heal classes that have epic heal features that have been broken for ages, guess the coding in the game is harder to fix then adjusting the specs on a wand.

Be nice if they just left it alone IMO. But on the flip side, means I don't have to spend $$$$ for a long time on tiering a new wand again, my current one is good enough. Gameforges decision to nerf it was horrible, but saved me money. But I hope they refund Tier Stones and Plussing Jewels and Arcane Charges for those that did mod them before the nerf.

And for those saying either are easy to farm, you are forgetting there is a small almost unpopulated server "Down Under" that can't even run Tosh anymore, so neither healer wand is 'easy' to obtain, they still have to work hard to get what most don't think of as useful anymore. People often forget (Including Gameforge) that changes made to the game as a whole effect all servers differently cause each server grows as individuals, while a server like Govinda can have some guilds farming/selling lvl 85 gear other servers have to live with gear from RT or Easy Mode/Crafted Gear.
