what is endgame?

I have heard this term thru out the forums about am not sure what people mean by this.



with that being said. I am trying to determine where I should go with my characters.

I have a 83/61 scout/knight

a 74/65/58 priest/mage/warlock

and a 50/50/20 rogue/scout/warden

and want to know which one is the best to take the rest of the way thru towards "endgame"

would hate to waste anymore time on one of these characters if they are going to be useless there.

I think I would refer to endgame as being level capped and having the ability gear-wise to run the highest instance currently.

As far as your toons..

Due to the state of the scout at the moment, it's kind of "useless" in endgame right now. If it were fixed there would be a lot of people (including myself) that would be playing scout. It's one of the most fun classes in the game but it just doesn't stack up to the other dps classes.

Rogue/S/Wd could work if you want to play rogue. R/S is the best class for pvp in my opinion, I prefer it over Rogue/Mage though the Rogue/Mage destroys it in PVE dmg.

I would go with the Priest/m/wl if you like healing. It's a great healing combo that is very under-used and if you find healing fun it could totally work for endgame.

Just my opinion.

True Endgame - Have completed Hard Mode of the current hardest instance or the one at lvl cap. Clearing HM Grotto at lv 85 is endgame.

Slang Endgame - a geared player, this occurs when a player base in unable to clear current content but thinks they could if they had more players so they refer to themselves as endgame.

Wannabe endgame - level cap reached, but geared with old old stats/armor , stats/armor no one even sell/buy at AH, way too old.

Endgame is being able to 1-3 shot a mob, or hold aggro, or heal for 1-2 times others hp in highest level hardmode instance. Best chance to achieve that is cap/cap, and high(est) gear/stats/runes/skills/pots/foods/titles/pets/other.

Unless you are a healer, which from those characters it looks like you prefer dps, the r/s/wd is your best bet.

edit: specifically the r/wd. It does a lot of dps, but you will have to deal with the fuel consumption-energy and mana usage. That character also will allow you the opportunity to play r/s or wd/s, which are still decent. If Runewaker ever fixes scout, then you will have the s/wd and s/r to have fun with as well.

I feel that the key issue people have with doing endgame runs is by not having the correct class combinations
and lack of debuffs (ie k/w M/wl)

You can't have a raid of M/p r/s knights and fail warrior combinations expecting to clear Grotto Hardmode.

The top melee dps from what I have observed is Wdn/war by far.
Also R/m + w/wd are very decent melee dps not far behind wdn/w

i guess by VERY BEST stats/gear/runes , he meant , for example as a Warrior, the 4 th best STR/pa and the 2 best STAM/pa
gear + 16 OD, obvisouly, weapon T11 OD obvisouly, and all best runes STR /pa STam/pa and such.

i view endgame more about ability to run and hold your own than your actual gear/stats/such
my r/p can outdps r/m. your name is stupid.

Endgame is the ability to clear the endgame instance and stay competitive as new content comes out. Has nothing to do with arbitrary stats and gear. You can have the best stats and gear in the game, but if you're a crap player, you're not endgame. You're a dude in shiny gear that can't do anything.

If you can hold your own in the endgame instance, and continue to do so as new instances come out, you are endgame.

M/Wd 1v1 is probably only a good counter to healers. Everything else can destroy us 1v1 assuming gear and skill are roughly the same. (Ok maybe not warriors)

wd/d is less damage than w/m or k/m, but self heals and survivability are greater.

M (100), P (100), W (100), K (100), S (100), R (100) --> order of previously being active
Reni Mithras Aeterna Server (6/27/2017 - Mainly RETIRED,Came back temporarily to get more cards ).
06/07/2011 (ch. 3) - Group completed RT diamond mode with me as M/K!
