Runes of Magic US / AU

Problem is this isn't a RoM offer, this is a GameForge offer to push ALL of their games. not just RoM. As this voucher can be used for any other game they publish.

So while the mobile game is not a destractor from RoM itself, the entire premise is "try out all our other games! They are just as bad!"

After installing this "game" on my buddies tablet, he started it up and promptly crashed. Now the tablet won't even power on. Not sure what this "game" did to it, but it's essentially rendered a tablet useless. I'd avoid this.

The reviews for the app are saying that the crashing problem is a common thing.

That's ok. I installed on BOTH my tablet and smartphone. Took 4 minutes for the phone to load it, the tablet never even moved past the loading screen, and constantly switched between the opening video and the load screen about 10 times before I got sick of it being stupid.

The game looks like a rehashed medieval version of Ikariam, gameforge's browser war game. Slow, uneventful, and ikariam was so full of people from the Vozer forums that it became unplayable. My alliance and I was attacked for 29 hours straight by 'one person', and even when we complained to the GM's this was out of control that one person had more research\\troops\\resources, then our entire alliance combined. We found out he had about 9 accounts, and was selling himself gold for skyhigh prices to himself to fund his cheating, we all quit in disgust over it. I won't touch Ikariam anymore. The game encourages bashing(attacking nonstop even when there's no war), has no control over people abusing the game in making new accounts to cheat, and just was becoming downright a nasty game to even want to play.

I appreciate a gesture to at least try their new games, but you have no safety net during this. It looks like you can be attacked before even figuring out how the game works. If they want that, I guess they got it, but yeah, they need to put a noob buffer on the game, or everyone will quit when some 100k player bashes on a player who's 4 minutes into the game to steal all his\\her resources.

now on to my actual response to the thread:
the issue is not how the suggested game is F2P, or sucks, its the fact that the active promotion of another game on the forums is a dangerous precedent. what is next, free dias for playing one of their other action mmorpgs? ingame ads for other games?

RoM just can't afford ANYBODY to leave, no matter the reason how lame people would think it, and active promotion of other games by GF really isn't helping.

Ummm... looks like a fairly common themed mobile device game. Well done or not, I have no idea, I don't play those type of games although I see a lot of them being popular. But it seems to work OK, although it needs tutorial at the front (maybe just me, I guess, since I am not familiar with genre).

All of you thought it was a travesty when Mass Effect got bonus item for players of Dragon Age, right? Cross-game-promotions-within-same-company is so unheard of.

Now if only they had it on the windows phone store...

Well people might complain about the way to promote free diamonds, but the point is are you gonna leave Runes of Magic for an app game?? LOL if you do, well you shouldn't be here in the first place then loll. But these are FREE diamonds no matter how you twist and turn it.

We've had 30+ players join us in a month active and all. If this promo can get a few other new player to come and play with us, i'm good with that.

Always easier to QQ, increase your posts count than saying TYVM for trying something new. I am happy for this and hope to see more of these TYVM.

Here's the problem zid. We have complaints/suggestions/warnings about the methods, the processes, the arrangement.

You have the problem with the players/people forming an opinion.

"How many new players did you all have joined you guilds in the last month" more like refugees to the server from reni. Now I know why.

No refugees here at all, we've had old players from 2 or 3 years ago come back, we've had totally new players to the game and we are showing them what to do and help with their quests.

Well before Aqua removed some of the posts from the usual suspects, they had an issue of me forming an opinion. Gameforge is trying a new promo method and i will praise any type of promos to bring new people to the game on any server. As i said before, it all depends how new players are treated on the server they play on that will help them enjoy the game and stay to play.

As i said in the previous post, are you gonna leave ROM for an app game?

If you don't like the promotion, here's a novel idea - don't partake in it.

As for refugees from Reni, I wouldn't look at Zid as the cause of such shenanigans. Perhaps one might take a closer look at the individual who has been using sexually abusive language towards women on the server for that.

Hmm..looks the promo is only good for the latest versions of Android. Thanks..but i'll stick with my Galaxy S2 for now.

PS. Don't redeem vouchers right away since they can be used during diamond promotions. Instead of getting 90 save it until there is double dias and you will get 180.

Come on. I'm not one to praise Gameforge all too much but this is a good idea and an easy way to make diamonds. If it takes players away from a full featured PC game to move your finger along a 6 inch screen then you can call me a moron but I really REALLY don't think that's going to happen.

Where did yu see anybody make such a statement?

The problem is the game we really want to play ROM is dying and GF cba advertising the game but find that advertising browser games and mobile games much more important, 90 dias for a few hours on a crappy game may not seem much to yourself but to others it paints a very damning picture.

Where is the effort to get people into Rom?........or where are the little gifts and newsletters we got every month, in EU i get 1 every 6 months now if lucky but recently had a few advertising other GF games?...........I care about Rom not their crappy browser games which are advertised everywhere, where are Rom advancements?

It isn't about losing players to a phone app dont be absurd lol, its the fact Rom is no longer being supported by GF whilst browser games seem more important.

I do not see the option either, but i think if you try to reach a GM they might be willing to help you redeem it, it all depends of the attitude you adapt towards the situation. I gave my code to a friend, he redeemed it, i asked him to send me 5 puris and i told him to keep the rest for himself, since at 140% more diamonds it came out at 216 diamonds for FREE!!!!.
