Missing Recipes for Phirius Tokens - Alternative

Dear Community,

Since some recipes are missing from the new content, and while we wait
for the patch which fix the issues it has, we implemented one
alternative way to get the recipes until you can buy them normally for
gold.

From today, the recipes will be available in the Phirius Token shop
(under "Must Haves" -> "Commodities") . Since they need to be in
packages to be put in there, you will find 7 different packages:

- Refining Recipes for Ores (3 in one pack)

- Refining Recipes for Herbs (3 in one pack)

- Refining Recipes for Wood (3 in one pack)

- Tailor Chest Recipe

- Armor Chest Recipe

- Wooden Chest Recipe

- Iron Chest Recipe

We hope this solution can help you until the real one hits the servers.

The Runes of Magic Team.

So does this mean that anyone who spends tokens to get this recipe because of a failure on the part of RW will get these tokens back when you can buy them with gold like it's supposed to be? Or are these tokens just gone? If they are not given back to the players, great customer service there, another notch in the "do nothing for the players" belt.

At least they did something. Not a big fan of this alternative, but them realizing this omission and trying to do something is better than them going "who cares" lol.

gotta agree w/ ruisen, attempting to do something is better than not doing anything.

ESPECIALLY since tokens are free. You get 100 tokens for doing the same easy quest 10 times.

I like the solution, not perfect, but better than nothing at all.

they could have put it in at a cost of 1 or 10 tokens and included the tokens back inside the package. or just made it with a ruby bonus as "this isn't the best, but here's some rubies too"
A real sysadmin knows how to change the time.
If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

As much as I'd love to say I offer consulting services, the scope of things broken is too large.

One could think that doin somethin tis better than doin nuthin, doin the RIGHT thing tis better than doin the WRONG thing. Kudos fer FINALLY givin us a work-around. But seriously, yer done coulda put it in fer less coin, or included our coins back. Coins may be free(ish), but they done doth still hast more value than the gold the recipes normally cost. An the cost fer Runewaker's error is now our cost. See the problem? On a scale o 1-10 fer effectiveness, me twill placer it at a low 4.

What they've done proves one thing that most players keep saying is lacking: They're listening.

People on the EU forum complained that they were not available. So Gameforge listened and made them available anyway they could.

Is it the absolute BEST solution? No. Gameforge doesn't have the ability to create an NPC to sell things for gold in bulk. Since as far as I've observed, there's only 4 event NPC's, that means they would only be able to put up for trade 4 items at a time. So either you'd get the recipes for the Chests or recipes for the refinements, not both.

It could have been a LOT worse: They could have sold them for diamonds, rubies, or not sold them at all. This is an excellent work around. If you don't want to spend the PCoins to get the recipes, then don't. No one at Gameforge has had or does have a gun demanding you to spend your PCoins on these. Wait for the gold ones to come out. Your choice.

Honestly, the player base complains when GF doesn't do something and then complains when they do. It's sad.

The complaint tisn't that they done did somethin. The complaint be that they easily coulda done it better. Iffn we had ter sit round, rack our brains, an spend days or even hours ter comer up wit somethin better, me twould agree wit yer, that the player base be whiners. However, in moments, we done can see the holes in their solution, an finder better ones. Their ship that they done doth launched looketh shiney, but tis full o holes.

I don't know the cost involved, but if I remember, some of the rarer recipes took forever to drop...

doing some dailies to get recipes is actually something I'd like to see permanently in the IS. :)

This isn't about recipes dropping, it's about RW failing the include them at an NPC and GF failing to catch it when they supposedly test the content before it goes live.

To everyone who said I don't have to buy, you're right I don't. I also don't play this broken game anymore. It's just fun to come and see all the new ways GF is shafting the playerbase.

It doesn't make sense to withhold and entire zone because 1 NPC that sells recipes is missing though. And it seems like Gameforge did catch it, hence the workaround.

Interesting that GF created this workaround for crafting and gathering recipes but took out Tina for the Joining the Fight quest. Maybe they could add that quest completion to the item shop for tokens as well? :P

Doing it this way just sets a precedent for the future where content can be "missed", then put into the IS as a "workaround". This whole fiasco is going to do nothing good for the game long term. Also, this just goes to show that GF or RW do not test or QA patches before they are released. I boggles my mind that anyone playing is happy that this workaround is in place, this should be making everyone rage, even the fanbois.

Yup. I'm happy. And since you don't play, just go away. I as well as a lot of other people don't feel "shafted" that this is in place as you so ignorantly put it.

If you're displeased, go join a Gameforge hate forum, and leave us the hell alone.

You do realize it costs phirius tokens, not diamonds or rubies, right?

The "cost" equals to "do a set of dailies once or twice on your crafting alt" for those who can not wait anymore and absolutely want to craft things. Everyone else can simply wait for the fix when they will properly appear in the game at the NPCs for gold.

I really fail to see a precedent being set for "selling content in the IS" now - especially as the packages will only be there until they finally appear in the game for gold very likelly with the next patch - yes, as they should have been in the first place, but not everything works as intended, not even when transitioning from the test to the live realm. It has been reported on day one of the content patch going live by the players, and by us to Runewaker, but the next patch was simply not ready yet and already took longer than expected, hence the workaround after the last maintenance now

---

About the packages: just go by the content list not the package name and its fine.

---

about quests:

Quest states are a totally different thing than quest items are. "Defeat Maderoth" is nowhere the same as, let's say, the item "Murky Ink" which commonly gets lost and simply sent to players.

Just as an example to how different quest states are:
Had we given out not just "Defeat Maderoth" but also "Meet with the others" of that quest, the second option would have broken the quests for everyone who's not exactly at "I have 'Joining the Fight' active in my questbook" - once you obtain the status "meet with the others" , -having the quest open or not- the group of NPCs changes their position and they won't be anymore at the spot where you accept Joining the Fight ...

Rofl at this thread,i do not craft......nor do i want too(i have my minion Zid for that).
But i think this is a good thing it may not be a perm fix but it does allow those that want them now to obtain them.
Ziav i have to agree with some others here if you dont play anymore why the $&@& are you posting this crap?
*facepalm*
I am happy with gameforge over the last year.
They have done more in the last 12 months than in the previous two years.
We wont always like what they do but they are listening to players feedback.
Remember the item shop thread? Ya you bet im gonna bring that up.......i requested class expansion tickets......and we got them! Along with many other items from that thread.
Call me a fanboi if you like but most know i am one of the 1st to flap off when something happens that i dont like.i have had my share of vacations from these forums.
All in all 2 thumbs up to gf for trying to deal with all of us here and still make changes.
