I like the basic idea of this suggestion which is: don't waste time making new skills for every class, make it one skill that everyone gets. Now a pick your skill is where it fails

I would say just 80/80 elite and 90/90 elite should just be a passive buff of increased damage/healing/etc by a decent amount (by decent I mean not game unbalancing but not so worthless no one cares if you have it). Therefore there would be no balance issues except the ones that already exists, which they should spend their time trying to figure out how to fix those and just give us something across the board that is nice, but doesn't give one class more power than another.

Then there is no excuse on time spent developing/testing rebalancing that needs to be done now, while giving the 80/80, 90/90 players a benefit to their class. It also eliminates the "my class got nothing useful!" posts which would surely come from any other choice for new elites.

ie, P/W was sorely dissed on the 60 & 70 elites if you were designing the class for a physical dps'er w/ gimped heals. The concept was there & then 2 useless elites were given to the class ( from a dps perspective ).

Here's what I would go with on P/W: @ 80: 1-h mastery & @ 90: either Magic Barrier Perfection or Combat Expertise.

But that's because I played P/W as a physical dps'er.

I'm just wondering at what other combos people could come up if they had 2 skills to use from their 2ndary sets.

Surge of awarenes? :p its a mild-berserk giving +20% matk/patk and -20% mdef/pdef... I think this is more helpful to a group then a troll however. ^.^

Only problem with that is we really don't need MORE damage or MORE heals. Heals are already so overpowered in this game. My Priest gear is still statted with stats from.. like.. AC? and my group heals can still top 300K if I'm trying. Damage we don't really need either. Instances are too much of a burn already. Not to say that I wouldn't think it would be nice to do more damage or do more heals, but we don't really need it.

Heals are already so overpowered in this game.


Just wait till healers get their hands on that level 87 set which is an upgrade to VN set...most OP set I have ever seen O.o

True Borella, I mean I am not saying that it is really something we NEED. But what else do people hope for out of Elites? More Dmg, PVP abilities, more boss debuffs (which is more dmg) or more survivability.

I am not really even saying we need 80 or 90 elites. I think that RW would just unbalance all the classes again if they added more Elites, I would probably be more ok for ISS instead of elites. It again is less possibility to unbalance and less work and less they can break.

Personally I don't want any more skills added till some balancing is done. However, I think if there are going to be elites (against my suggestion), then they should make it even across the boards, as to not further class unbalance or break old classes. Doesn't have to dmg, or heals. Could be drop rate too, or exp bonus.. or just something else. I really don't think at this point we need something to unbalance the game more.

But that is just me.. I think it would be pretty nuts if w/m could pick up 63% more fire and more lightning dmg. I mean I would take it if it happens. I am just saying it will unbalance the class more. In fact I don't know of any other class that would be able to pick two "transfer" skills to give more than a 65% dmg increase across the board... ALL THE TIME. To a class that is already one of the top DPS. That is taking mage specific (not elites) to w/m... so even if you remove the ability to pick elite skills... W/m still can get a NUTS boost.

As a K/P I have no idea what I would want that a priest has
Personally I'd prefer a passive that increases the light damage that devotion and have it increase it even further

LOL I like it!

I would probably have them cause I use 10% quest exp pets, and dailies every day. Usually if you don't miss any there are enough days between updates to get to level cap on 3 classes without quests. Add the quests in (again with the zodiac quest pet) and it is doable, long and you gotta do dailies every day, but doable. Our healers have gone from 70 to 82 on knight side, just dailiing the last 4 months. Course the exp events sure helped :) They will probably get to 85 by the time the raise level cap next. That and they have all the quests from Sarlo on lol.

This however, is NOT viable for new players. It is only viable for our chars, since we have been running dailies on them for YEARS.


If you re going to add 80/90 elites make higher level honor tickets please!

Or simply legalize using current honor pt for levels higher than 29!

It's simpler because technically it already works and it's just about a formal decision of GF to say it's fine to use current honor pt for any levels of the toons...

(And, by the way, this should be done irrespective of whether there are new elites added.)

Personally, I would prefer they first fixed the useless/broken 60/70 elites before they considered new elites. For example:

Efficiency Guidance
Spirit Shackles

(can you guess which classes I play?)
