Keep in mind that the Gameforge Terms of Service applies to many of Gameforge's games and is written to be rather generic so that a different Terms of Service does not have to be written and maintained for each of Gameforge's 20+ games. If a feature, such as pay to play, is specifically mentioned in the ToS and the game is not pay-to-play, then that point of the ToS can be safely ignored.

So you just proved gameforge IS lazy at their job......

Hmmmm maybe just maybe people should look in the item preview addon ......there are things in there like 30 day guild transport runes and home sweet homes plus a few other 30 day items.
I think that there could very well be enough items to make a 20 dollar per month subscription package.
So all content is available for ftp but there are some nice perk items to make spending a minimum of 20 bux a month worth while.

I don't really care for subscription games, but I think RoM could benefit with a subscription option. Give subscribers enough 'perks' to make it worth having, but not so good that it eliminates the use of the cash shop.

Too many games I've seen with subscription end up with everyone of the same class pretty much identical after a while. The beauty of RoM's cash shop is that every toon is different.

so....I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. Gameforge doesn't do sub based games, they do "freemium" (read pay to win) games which are far more lucrative. Sure, sub models guarantee more steady returns, but with pay to win you can use tools like online gambling (gashas, plussing gems, etc.) to really milk players who have already developed a psychological addition to the mmorpg.

The fastest way to kill the game (and they're doing a pretty good job of it already) would be to make a subscription. Plus, there is no way in heck this game is worth spending twenty dollars a month on. "That other game" only costs 15 a month and it's a million times more polished and balanced with a company that actually cares about the game it supports.

Well if THAT OTHER GAME is so fantastic, why don't you just go and play it? why are you still here?? just need someone to give you attention again.

I'm sorry but people been complaining for 5 years, a lot has been fixed and dealt with since Gameforge has been here. It is and can be free to play very easily, takes a little work and commitment but very easy to do. But most people don't want to work to get there, they think that since they log into the game and play, they should have everything available for FREE, not gonna happen. Get a job or spend a few bucks, if you think it's not worth it, well, you can go play those other great games D3, GW2, TESO, ya those are so great, i'm sure there are at least 5 people still playing them lol.

Pretty sure Gameforge might be hiring, apply for a job and go make things a lot better.

You've been gone for almost a month from the forums, and the first thing you do is post the same cookie cutter soap box response you always give. The same response that never rallies anyone. Well ok it does rally the masses... AGAINST you.

Go back on hiatus and think of a new copy and paste response to post in almost every thread

Well Cike, you've been crying and menacing with the same stuff for 2 years. Have you changed anything except increase the negativity of people towards the game?? You create more problems for the game by being negative than solutions and driving new players away.

When a new player comes on, they come and read the forums, the same 5 people go with their negativity or puns intended towards issues that do not exist or have been fixed. Sometimes some go : ya great game but not worth playing too many this too many that. A lot of people crying that quests were broken, well most of them haven't quested except the main quest line. Quests intertwine with each other, but a lot of people don't want to quest, too boring, takes too long etc. Well go play a pew pew game or tetris, i think this game has been based on questing, unless i am wrong.

Subscription base will never be needed with ROM, they need to give us more for the diamonds we purchase, that would be nice. Gameforge is here to make money, not to please everyone and give them stuff for free, work for it. My guildies have been told how to make gold, they do it and pretty efficiently i may add. Lots of farming etc but still work.

If you can't enjoy yourself in ROM you are doing something terribly wrong or just don't get what MMO's stand for.
