I wonder if this could fix siege. Isn't siege just a really badly made server merge?

I always thought seige was Played on another server, or a seige server... SO in a sense, Kind of a merge but temproarly on another server for an hour? OR I could be wrong.. only correct answer could be from a GM/FM/CM

I don't know what to think.
On the one hand, I'm happy it is happening. I am happy we can do this now.

On the other hand, I would like to know what changed from us not being allowed to even discuss a possibility of it to them coming out and saying they are going to do it.

well being from grimdal I wouldn't mind if it were pvp or a pve server I would just be thankful to have somewhat of a population and be able to run the new content. I don't think the others from grimdal would mind either.

Artemis and Reni should be merged, Palenque Govinda and Osha should be merged, and then all the PVP servers. That would be the most balanced economy/player base. HOWEVER, that being said, the Indigo/Grimdal merge would STILL not be near as populated as Artemis/reni, or Palenque/Govinda/Osha. Honestly, they may need to make one extremely large server merge, and people would probably just have to adapt to the pvp/pve changed... (only a chance, but its really the only way for indigo/grimdal to not get the bad-end of the deal). I, personally, would prefer one large server merge, seeing all the players on at once, and a full economy, that being said players from smaller servers i.e. indigo, would have to adapt to larger server economy, i.e. Artemis, or meet somewhere in the middle. I am super excited for this merge, as we all should be because we are mostly asking for it, and can't wait to see a new diversity of players online! As it has been mentioned, a new server name would probably be best. Would really enjoy to have one large server merge though, even though it would require a lot of adaptation, I think we could do it. :)

Agreed with the above. Reni + Artemis, Govinda + the rest of the pve servers, and the two pvp servers together. That's easily the best way to do it.

Truthfully I doub't it will happen and if it does i don't think it will work out well when more players are in one area lag is bad During GM events can you say you don't lag and crash more moving to one server would break things but maybe im wrong i won't believe it til i see it tho

Only time will tell after all hehe

If they are going to merge I really wonder how we are going to solve the issue of just 8 character slots per server.

If they were to merge Reni and Artemis I would be totally screwed because i have more than 8 characters between those two servers.

I hope they figure out how to do the merge similar to what Sony did with DCUO, one big mega server and you can choose which shard you would like to play on the pve or pvp.

Tons of complications glad they are saying it will be a long time before this happens but hopefully sooner than later.

IMO merging both pvp together and making 2 pve servers would be the general idea of how it would go. it's just picking what servers to merge together in the pve aspect. I'm not sure it's possible to put everyone on 1 server. And as for the names I think it'd probably be best to to just let the person who created the name in the first place to keep it on server merge.

Something I was also wondering is what about toons that are on the same account that are being merged together and you already have full 8 characters on one account already? I'm happy they are finally able to try this and putting it into the works. Now how about some plans for advertising the game :D

Cant wait to see the update posts pertaining to the merge.

Though I use to be 100% pvp on this game and 0 pve... Grimdal and Indigo will continue in the direction they are going if they are merged or not. Only way I see them improving is joining bigger servers. Which unfortunately means making these 2 servers PvE servers... However as my server merge suggestion shows, I still think they should be made PvE.

The only problem with merging PvP servers is they would STILL have a low population, getting them almost no-where and making them, yet again, a non-desirable server for new players to go to. Grimdal + Indigo will NOT be viable enough to keep those servers alive... That being said, we do NOT know if they will be merging Thalia with the US servers or not, because it has a completely different server base, it will be almost near impossible or extremely difficult. I say, the PvP servers *might* have to adapt to being PvE or vice-versa. That's just in order for the server(s) to maintain a healthy population/economy. That's my opinion though. :)
