Siege times

Any update on siege times? Or is the current broken siege time going to be the new official siege time?

I was thinking about this the other day. While the time doesn't mess with me at all... I know it must be causing a lot of problems for guilds that consistently siege at a certain time to make sure their members can make it :)

It's been going on long enough we have just accepted it as "the" seige time. To change back now would probably cause more disruption.

Siege war time at 9PM EST is perfect for me, finishes at 10PM EST and during workdays i get to get to bed early, so just perfect ;-) but i still don't get the issues people are having, you can siege at multiple times.

And they changed the sw times back to the previous official sw time (the times we had before weren't official. they were bug changed). So, sw is now back to either 6pm EDT or 10pm EDT. Time to adjust to another siege time again.

Can we please get it back to the 9pm Eastern time that we had for the past few months?

lol always two opposite sides to this scenario.
Some love some hate..
my two cents...
One of main reasons i came back was the fact that people were telling me siege was at 9pm EST and it was staying that way... i assumed... that if it wasnt fixed shortly after it went to 9pm, that it was going to stay at the time... so i was excited to come siege again and i did a bunch.. But alas fun is over

Scratch seeing me in siege anymore, not saying im anything worthy, just saying im sure im not only one that cant siege now because of time frame... but also like noble says... im sure theres plenty that can now siege when they couldnt before...

Maybe if there was a way to push together registration and preparation all in one hour???? so that way siege war isnt every 4 hours??

Then you could add more siege war times so that way each guild can fine tune their optimum time frames? idk

Even if it dont work i still wouldnt mind seeing a 30 min registration or and a 30 min preparation time, sometimes staring at screen waiting for siege to start i fall asleep on the desk lol!

Yea, where 6pm was too early for west coast people, it's also too early for quite a few east coast people. However, 10pm is too late for quite a few east coast people. Siege being every 4 hours makes it very unbalanced in respect to the times to choose. If it was every 3 hours, the east coast people would at least have the option to siege at 7pm (which isn't too early for most people). Maybe have a 1h registration period a 30 minute prep period, a 1h siege, and a 30 minute end phase. The time before while it was bugged was manageable for the west coast people i know, but these times are terrible for the majority of east coast people.

but alas... complain all we want about times... but we dont live in australia where if they want to siege with us have to do it what? like 6-9 am??? lmao
I for one realize there is zero answers to remedy this for everyone... but we are on the right path to making it possible for everyone..

Imo, they should have siege slots at both 6pm PST (or 5pm, whichever one was the east coast's preference) and 7pm PST, or have alternating siege times and have a few days at 6pm PST and a few days at 7pm PST. Multiple siege times was what was needed, but I don't think siege every 4 hours was what people were exactly looking for.

Perhaps a Seige A and a Siege B, 2 hours apart, in the evening, guilds get to pick one or the other.

Well remove the once per day reward from siege, make it that any siege you go to, you get rewards and then people can choose whenever they wanna siege. Guild contribution packages give so little that it's sad, honor points, well maybe people will be able to buy guild mats with them. Make it worth it for guilds that have people wanting to siege in the afternoon and the others at 10PM at night.

Oh the badges you could farm if you're on all day lmao. That would be a fine idea, imo, zid, if people wouldn't abuse it. I doubt they'd implement that due to the fact that people would abuse it.

Or just no rewards after second siege.
But more siege slots in peak hours would be nice. The other times they can just keep the every 4 hour system.

Yeah they'll have more titles than most people, but that's the reward is it not? along with honor points, which further fuels their renown (abilities) as a mercenary.

I don't think the complaint should be the umpteenth time about the siege war times not corresponding with day-light savings. But rather why the hell it's still beta and has been a double edged sword it's entire existence.

personnal grain of salt here, 9 pm east was perfect for us as the estern ppl could siege then go to bed and not be tired the next morning at work/school, was good too for western ppl as they would be home from work. now with 10 pm east it feels a bit late for east time ppl and if we go for 6 pm east then it's too early for the western ppl. Would prefer back to 9 pm east.

Opinion on the multi siege/more often siege. I think the biggest issue would be that with more timeslots the number of guild in each timeslot would end up been smaller. higher chance of a guild not getting paired, less diversity in the ppl you get to fight. personnally not a fan.
