Any server you can get basically without spending a lot of money, just gotta be patient and willing to spend time and effort into it. If you want level 90/90/90 in a week and be endgame, well then you will have to spend a lot of money. It depends what you hope to achieve in the game .

The game is still possible to get to endgame gear and max level without money, but it takes time, dedication, a little ingenuity, and a friendly guild sure doesn't hurt.


As he said if you want to be 90/90/90 in a short period of time, money. If you want to have endgame gear fully plussed/statted in a short time, money. If you want to avoid a decent amount of work to get there, money. The game is still that you CAN p2w, but you don't HAVE to... it just makes it easier. If you are willing to put time in and SOME money things go a little faster.


And of course the game is enjoyable without the WIN aspect at all. I know lots of people that just play the game to have fun questing, crafting, and the like, and don't care how they look to other players.

It is still a P2W there is nothing in the way of end game gear in the Auction House anymore. It has become a rarity to even see any gear over level 60 in the Auction House at all except for bag drops. The only way to get end game gear is to be part of a guild that does end game instance runs and is very generous to its members.

Well i fill up the AH with crafted gear all the time85/87/90, as many other crafters do too. Also people on Reni have come to realize that crafted gear is as good as the endgame one and guess what??? 1/10 of the price of the endgame gear. More and more PUG groups appear on Reni to run instances and people clear them. Also a lot of the gear crafters put up there on AH gets sold outside AH to players.


Advark you probably do not play on Reni at all anymore?

I suspect the only guarantee these days is to be in the right guild and completely self-sufficient, diamond buying included. Some P2Ws have probably found deficiencies in what is being provided in the AH and elsewhere, varying depending on server. From my perspective, I would say it's harder for almost everyone these days.

UD HM or proof gear on Govinda costs the same as an ABL, and is almost the same price as UD crafted gear lol

On Artemis, there are common sales of underdura gear / weapons (maybe even OD) on sale for about 5m per your abl. That's pretty cheap. Outside of this, I never see any regular instance gear on auction houses if it is low dura.

yeah artemis is very lucky to have so many of the "x, y gear for your abl + small price" sales going. This was very nice to see when it started happening. There is decent amounts of crafted stuff on the AH, and UD PoM gear was on there last I checked.

It seems that the ABL cost for a gamble to sell a piece of gear encourages people not to sell, which is not a good thing for the game. Why would someone risk over 69 diamonds for an item they might never sell or have to sell for a loss. There has been lots of suggestions to alter this like a way to let the buyer pay for an ABL in the AH, til then thank you to the ones willing to do "your abl" sales.

It has been suggested 100s of times but BoE for purple gear under X level would be a great addition to the game and help newer players gear up as well.

BB is probably one of the best F2P examples that I have seen (regardless of any issues we had in the past), he shows what can be done as F2P. Now his experience is not what can normally be expected, since he does have access to a guild that new players may not (for understandable reasons), but it is possible if you are willing to put the work in.
