Server merge Artemis and Reni

It would be nice to have from Gameforge a date of when the merge i gonna happen, Thalia went smooth as we all heard. So why is it taking so long to complete the ret of the merges? Why can't we get an answer from the higher ups and not the GM's, i know you guys don't have more info than us ;-)

Maybe get someone in the office to make a statement, not a vague one please. Now with this wait they are pushing the rest of the players away unless that it was the purpose to do so, tyvm.

Form my understanding at gameforge moved Thailia So US servers there wa sonly like 5 people left playing on the server anyways, so of course it didn't take long

what happened to the other 68 people in disturbed alone?

not to mention the other guilds...

that being said, reni->arty will probably be easier than the OSHA/PvP/govinda/pal conglomerate. I anticipate being merged last(or close to it).

some news would be nice at any rate though.

People are just waiting on the merge to come back but at the speed this is taking and no useful information from Gameforge to the community or to the GM's to pass along, we might end up losing more waiting. Gameforge sure knows how to promote a 6 years running game and what about all the ads and publicity to make it grow, surely the person in charge of it deserves a promotion. :thumbsup:

People we're all excited when Thalia went flawlessly, expected a timeline, date anything, but nah, you'll get it when you'll get it and you better be satisfied with that answer. Well less players left, less chance of failure at the merge.

You've waited years for a merge, I think you can handle waiting a few more weeks or months. Aren't you the one who's always talking about how the game isn't dead or in any trouble? And Thalia did not go flawlessly.

i have been waiting on the merge for 6 months only, not years, since it wasn't possible before. And how did the merge with Thalia didn't go flawlessly? i have spoken to 12 different people from Thalia on Artemis and all have said it did, they didn't lose anything, they had their accounts and toons up and running, please elaborate Borella.

I'm mostly worried about name conflicts and the possibility (if there is one) of stuff inside my mailbox and house and the other guy with the same name being given access to it all. I never could really understand why moving an account from one server to another was so difficult.

A giant portion of distirbed is zids alts. I'm busy with college tho around on occasion. keirr never stays on long when I see her, matron is around like zid and zid murdered hootie only others around on a decent basis is 3 others.
Knightshift still have quite a few active people tho so its more than 12 ziddy.

When the merge happens the other....200ish will come back to playing a lot just took a break to wait for it. Everything on reni went downhil after heritic died and went to that other game I forget at the moment and people got irritates with drama that broke out and killed a lot of people from the game.

Long answer: As Thalia admittedly wasn't as many accounts/characters as other servers of course it was first and going to be quick. As for the backend there was some gitches and unexpected problems that happened, albeit minor, see Thalia merge - Issues FAQ

As for the additional server merges, I'm sure more testing needs to take place as well as getting through some backlogs on our backends before additional work can be done. It's still on the list of course and hasn't been forgotten, we just don't have any additional information as the scheduled workloads have to be balanced by the Product director himself regarding the sysadmins and the other projects they have going on. In short, see Short answer. It's coming, we'll announce it as soon as we can, sit tight and bear with us, as I don't think many realize the amount of work and preparation involved. It's not just flipping a switch and it's done. It's definitely more than that, folks.
