In-Game Event Summer Farming Frenzy?

Pretty neat event, I will be making sure my many alts do their dailies everyday. Thanks to being informed of a great daily to do with them everyday. I might even break back out my dwarves.

For those not informed yet, there is a new event => In-Game Event Summer Farming Frenzy
I just don't get it.....
whats the point of this event? motivate everyone to do the everyday boring job known as dailies that we are forced to do anyways if we need TP or level a class? Do boring dailies on alters for a week? Make us buy resets and spend them without double expe just to get some badges?
in my opinion is a ridiculous idea for an event because dailies are limitated to 10 per toon......If you were to make them unlimited for 7 days event we would LOVE that kind of event and I'm sure that a lot of Exp/tp Daily quest potions would be bought even without an offer and transmutator charges to make zod legendary pets.

Some GM please explain me what were you thinking exactly when you come up with this event.....

It's a pretty fair competition, but I think it's more of a gauge of which server(s) are really active.

This allows the bigwigs @ GF to determine how active a server is w/ an event that anyone can do. There are dailies for lvl 1 toons & there are dailies for lvl 92 toons. Everyone is capped @ 10 per day, normally. So it is pretty fair.

Just because some server may have more players than others won't necessarily tell them which servers are more active, so I'm betting this will be a good gauge for them.

Heck, any event is better than no event. :)

So you say it's their way to find out how many people actually plays on each server?
Couldn't they just make an scan to see how many people hit lv92?

2- As Ycavan said this event might be used to gauge server activity (though many alts will be getting used so it's still not accurate.)

Even if people are running alts, they're actively taking time to run them :)

ie, lets say some server supposedly has 2000 accounts, but this event shows 20 toons ( alts or not ) doing dailies the whole week; they can probably deduce that this server's population is only 1% active

another server has 900 accounts, but they see 700 accounts doing this event ( alts or not ) daily gives them a 77.7% active rate.

So yeah, I'm pretty sure this is a way for them to grab some activity statistics.

Ooh. They should make unlimited dailies just for this event

I'm sure everyone would love that lol. People may actually be able to level their other classes up using dailies instead of having to pick and choose the one they feel has the most priority at the moment. Would also help people farm the scarce resource known as TP.

Yep! It would be extremely awesome and would make everyone happy. :thumbsup:

Many people wants to change their class but leveling and adding TP to another class annoys them a lot, and many already play the class they want but suck at it because they are missing over 300m TP and they can't afford spending Daily Resets for it.

I can't be bothered with this. I have thousands of phirius coins and all the skills I'll ever cast are maxed out. My time is better spent elsewhere.

Someone come get me when the reward npcs go live so I can stock up on free stuff.

And this event starts in 3 days right? No one do any dailies for 3 days so it'll drop your server's average and make each threshold easier to obtain lol

It appears to be a reasonable event there will be rewards without having to interrupt your normal daily activities. It will also give management an idea how many people on a server are active on a regular basis. There is no down side .
However I love the idea of unlimited dailies for a few days as an event, the ability to level up my second and third classes would greatly increase my enjoyment of the game because I would be able to play my favorite class and not devote my limited playing time to leveling up the other classes.

The suggestion that this event is to gather some statistics or count for activity makes no sense to me. If they wanted a more accurate count then they should just do it without any announcements. This seems more like just some person's dumb idea for an event. lol

Also with everyone doing it, they will be able to calculate how many Aliens play the game, Unicorns they already know, Trolls also. What they are truly missing information to gather it's the ALIENS!!!!!!

I'm sure we got 2 in Disturbed because sometimes i wake up in the morning or from a nap and my lower back hurts, we all know those darn aliens loves their probing!! i don't. :doofy:

I don't think this is a good guage of how many players are active on a server. How many toons are active, maybe. But their results will include all the bots running dailies on a normal basis as well. I agree, I think if they actually wanted a true count they could just monitor the usage for a week unannounced.
