Saito i love how it was done, just perfect and hope all the other zones pass this one will have the same mechanics. Also you should prevent the entering of that zones instance as well, so people have to do at least the main quest line to enter it :)

It is not to combat anyone who uses daily resets (why? Sold DQ tickets to the impatient ones are money ... ) but rather because of the storyline.

I didn't say it was to combat resets, I said it negates the NEED for resets.

And Zid, are you suggesting we need to return to attunements? Certainly not a bad idea... Saito, as long as you are in on this conversation, you can discuss that with RW? As long as you don't have to complete the instance to move to the next zone. I still haven't made it past the first boss in Sardo, or Aeternal circle. Or for that matter most of the hard mode instances past Grafu. Not really my thing, those instances.

I don't get why you guys think it's a good idea, nor why you would want to bring atunements back. Is the only point to it to get to watch the ppl who were not up to date with the quest line quest? Make some things harder for other ppl what a great motivation. But hey if we want to make it unfun for a bunch of ppl why don't we just make them have to beat hm to have access to the next place <removed argument instigating bit>. Different players play different and I don't think it is wise to punish a particular play style unless that particular play style is hurtfull to the game. From my perspective only caring about running hard mode is as valid as caring about having quests completed.

Personally I do not like the idea of needing the line done to unlock dailies and npcs, quite a few people don't rush to the next level and end up with a few quests stacked up for a rainy day and having to rush through the questline to have access to the npcs is not exactly ideal for them. As for the people who use resets to level they are spending money to do it and as saito said i don't get what is wrong with that from a gameforge perspective.

I do not mind having a part of the zone unaccessible for a story reason but I do not like the idea that some of the npc you can't get without it are the mem vendors. I would rather have the mem vendor in Tasuk then at the citadel so storing some quests doesn't cut access to important stuff.

I like the idea of having to beat HM to open up either a new instance or zone. Instead, make it server wide... so when a new zone comes out, it's unpopulated and none of the instances are open until all of the HM instances of the previous zone have been conquered.

For the most part, nothing changes since the top groups on each server should have beaten all of the HM instances by the time a new zone opens. If that hasn't happened, it could foster a sense of camraderie if a bunch of people from different groups have to come together to complete the challenge.

Well we see it all the time in world : I don't have anymore quests to level!!!!! how can i level my second class, i ran out of quests etc. Funny how i have seen some of those same people questing in TB, Rorazan and up now hahahaha. I loved the way they had that we had to go through Belathis easy to be able to continue the main quest line. ( and yes we in Disturbed helped a lot of people go through there until they fixed it cause people were to whiny to do it or get people to help :( . This is after all an MMORPG.

When the level cap 98 came along, i had my main quest line 2 zones down and had enough to level all 5 of my classes to 98 on 2 of my mains, but i try to do all the quests and still have quite a few side quests still opened to me but i will wait for next level cap for them so i don't waste my XP to level.

Soppy i was expressing my opinion on how i like this way to do it and didn't mean to say everyone would like it :P but for me it makes sense and lets people enjoy the game as it was intended to be and have fun doing it without taking shortcuts and maybe end up with broken quests etc.

its pretty dumb to not have access to mem and eoj vendors... Attunement for instance or daily/eoj quests are one thing but you should always be able to use the vendors.

I agree. Have the game force you to play the way it was intended to be played. Be up to date with the main quest line and beat the last cap's hard mode instance or uninstall.
