Response to Aqualink's post about exploits in the Drill Ground

I hope that's the information I'm providing can be edited into the announcement as well as not violate any form rules. If there is a violation, feel free to edit this post as needed so that it can still be allowed as I am seeking a response

When doing the "I want to survive" event in the drill ground, there seems to be a glitch in which the event repeats itself after being returned to the drill ground Lobby. The result is that a player gets 1050 honor points 2 times. I want to give a big disclaimer here and now that this is not something that can be controlled by the user and happens at random.

I highly doubt that this is the supposed bug that Aqua's post was referring to but I want to verify that if this glitch happens to anyone (which it does 75% of the time) should they be concerned about being disciplined for something that happens accidentally and uncontrollably? I doubt it, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. If I have to cut doing that event from my routine just to avoid accidentally being disciplined, then I have no problem doing so.

Can we please get clarification or possibly give a disclaimer relating to this glitch in the announcement to put the user's mind at ease?

I doubt we can give you all the clarity you'd like. However, hunting users who trip over an uncontrollable glitch is not the point. Intention can sometimes be difficult to divine, but for this we are confident we can manage.

Wantonly hammering everything in sight is not our goal, nor in our interest. As always, we will review carefully before action. If you have further questions, please PM me.

Piggybacking onto Heron's post let me finalize it with the following:

Believe it or not the GM's play the game, we really do. As a matter of fact, I've done the very "glitch" unintentionally that you describe and it was brought up in our Sooper Sekrit GM chat.

The GM's have multiple tools and interfaces to determine rule breaking offenses. They are almost always cut and dry what is definitely an offense and what is not. Any doubts with the data presented in front of us and we confer with our team to ensure that everyone is on the same page with the interpretation of the data. We do not swing the hammer wildly at anything which is in doubt of a cheat, and very few, if any, innocent people would get swept up by a ban for abusing exploits.

If you're truly innocent, the ticket system is a couple of clicks away where a case can be appealed. The case you present is -always- taken into consideration and your case, if pleaded, is always re-examined and if determined to be a true case of innocence, your ban would be reversed with no future penalty.

We're not out to hunt down every single case of possible and undeniable exploiting of the game, however we still need to ensure that the game environment and the economy is fair for all.
