level 99 leather gear

According to a couple addons, there will only be one hard mode 99 leather set (Cibel's Set), which happens to be the off-hand damage one. Was wondering if this was a mistake and if the crit leather set will be added in like previous off-set dungeons because it wouldn't make sense to remove the superior set if there was to only be one leather set. The ghost stats on the off-hand set are not as good as the crit set apparently. Would be nice to have some clarification on this.

I agree. If they were going to remove any leather set, it should've been the 10% off-hand damage set.


I cry ever time an OD piece drops and it's from the 10% off-hand damage set. So +1.

Level 99 items are currently not worth worrying about since the game currently stops at level 98.
Just because you can't see one in the ingame database doesn't mean one isn't going to be available at release.

Lol what? Serious? I mean... We'll get there eventually and it should be soon considering we've hit the 6 month mark for Lv98. You're basically saying to not worry until something is definitively broken? Seems like you just read the title, didn't bother reading the actual post and posted a canned reply.
Would be nice to have some clarification on this.
This is what needs to be addressed. Is one of the leather sets actually being removed?
If yes, why the one that is actually better? If not, thank you for the clarification.

its not the first time that items are in addons that are incomplete before actual content updates.

try itempreview2 and look at the pieces that are yet unnamed .
and seriously........wtf are you guys complaining about........ BROKEN CONTENT THAT HASNT BEEN RELEASED?
im not saying it wont change or if it will but come on guys.
remember when mage gear didnt get same upgrades that physical did.
how about the fact that there is a cap on cast time yet none on physical attack speed.
the list goes on and on about legit things we can complain about. yet here we are with rogues saying hey thats not fair.....BEFORE they even know for sure if it is true.

oh i am sorry my mistake .....just continue to make assumptions with little to no knowledge of the reality of the situation that you perceive this to be.

maybe the test team can clarify but i doubt they can as they are most likely sworn to secrecy regarding UNRELEASED content.

Almost every issue I can remember of that the playerbase pointed out before actual release though IP/Cp actually ended up happening.
Not that they ever got fixed, but we were aware of it pre-release, it never got changed prior to release, and well, even post release they never got fixed.

But yeah I would be pretty confident that it will be an issue, and a pretty big one because

4 Leather Items level99 "Upper Body" exist, none of them is instance loot.

Without looking at every single lvl100 upper body atm, I would say it's simply not yet finished.

Or can you specify which items you are worried about ?



Edit: Yeah, didn't think about Lower Body set at first... brb, getting new data.

I'd imagine the item just isn't named yet. So it isn't appearing in charplan.

Also asking yrcanos to give clarification isn't going to happen, since he is simply just a player like you, the people you would need to ask is the qa team, or runewaker.

What makes it seem worse is that Dungeonloots already shows all of the bosses and all of the loot with all of the droprates. Every weapon, talisman, shield, gear, stat, everything else. It's not just that it doesn't exist in charplan or itempreview, it's that everything appears to be set up for the instance to be released and there's no crit set to be found.

Perhaps this is another intentional change by RW, like when they removed crit from mage staves for what 10 levels or so and replaced it with accuracy? Are the Rogues with the 98 set now going, aww damn, now I have to wait till the 100 set comes out to upgrade? I'm going to ROFL if RW has decided that Rogues need to experiment with offhand sets for 10 levels like they did with the Mages.

So, we do need new content after all, if people are so bored they need to complain about stuff that has not happened yet.

Even if they did intentionally make it so only one leather set exists (which they definitely would not) it's still better for rogues than it would be for a scout who may not even be able to use an offhand. What use would a scout have for that extra off-hand damage? Just wait until stuff is released and if there's no second leather set then proceed on to complain to Gameforge/Runewaker about. If they don't fix it then oh well, tough luck man. That's what you get for playing a game that the developers obviously don't care about.

Yarlis set t8 + cibel cloak
791 dmg
1280 crit

Kellas set t8 + cibel cloak
953 dmg
1422 crit

cibel set t8 + kelas ring
1106 dmg
2173 crit


Not sure what the complaints are about. You maybe lose patk since kelass set has 3 patk stats + bonus vs cibel 2 patk + bonus, but you gain 700 crit and 160 dmg. Pretty sure that's worth on both scout and rogue, and you lose the pointless accuracy stat from yarlis/kellas gloves.

The argument is that this set helps the Rogues the most which is already thought to be an overpowered class by the increase in off hand damage. While it does not help the under powered Scout because they do not have the ability to use an off hand weapon. There has been an argument for years that management has strongly favored the Rogue class while ignoring and nerfing the Scout class both of which use leather armor. Unless there is a second set of leather armor with help for the Scouts people will look at this as more anti Scout bias by management already believed to favor the Rogues.

Rogues aren't "better" than scouts, they each have some advantage and disadvantage. Scouts have higher burst (and well geared scouts have decent sustained) unless something has changed in the month or two I've been inactive.

I suppose I see the arguement "it helps rogues more than scouts", but I don't really think an extra 400 crit from a different set bonus will "really" help scouts who already have 10k +/- crit...It also makes getting sets a lot easier if you consider there would no longer be an "undesirable leather set".

Having one set would be fine, even if they kept the ghost stats the way they are with 3/4 having dex (newsflash that's how cloth gear has always been), but then they should change the Cibel set bonus to be crit instead of offhand damage. It makes no sense to have only one set and have that set have a set bonus that's completely worthless to one of the classes that uses that type of armor.

I'm all for having only one set of leather as it increases the chance of good cloth gear dropping and increases the likelihood of cloth stats dropping but this is not the best way to do it.

I'd rather have 3/4 with pattk and have offhand bonus over 3/4 with dex and crit.

The "complaints" are not about whether or not it's an upgrade. If they're going to remove one of the two leather sets from now on, why are they going to remove the one people use and keep the one that is usually trashed even when OD...

You have no idea what you're talking about at all. Do you even play this game? 10% off-hand damage sets already exist and nobody uses them because they're garbage. Overpowered Rogue and Underpowered Scout is so last year.

Again, the problem is, if there's even a problem, why remove the good set from the game instead of the one nobody uses.
