Special Event this weekend: your TP cut in half... your welcome!

You have GOT to be kidding me. They are cutting TP AGAIN?

A few weeks ago, they tripled XP from quests, so anyone that quested lost a TON of TP. A TON.

This weekend, they are doing it again. But wait, it's only double XP this weekend, like that makes it okay. It doesn't.

Damn, I was looking forward to playing this weekend, but I can't afford the MASSIVE LOSS OF TP. This is so stupid. STUPID.

No questing for me. Maybe I'll clean the garage. At least I won't be wasting my time losing TP.

Special events, standard is 100%/250%.

Also has been stated many times, you do not lose tp from xp/tp events.

Yes, you do. Last time, I got triple XP but standard TP. That is a loss of tp. I levelled too fast, and didn't have enough TP to level skills.

Only the xp is increased for quests, not the tp, which means if you quest, you lose tp. I thought my point was abundantly clear, but apparantly not.

It's actually more TP... How do people still get this wrong?

Try looking at it this way. Without an exp/tp event you have to complete x amount of quests to level up. Let's say for example it takes 10 quests without event and with event it takes 5 quests. You only think you're getting less tp because you only need half the quests to level, but if you just did the same amount of quests it would take to level without an event you would still get the same amount of tp. The only thing lost is the experience points but that's obviously not something you're concerned about.

Just because your class reaches max level doesn't mean you can't complete more quests on it to get extra tp.

Not only that. But at the 5 quest mark you're then doing level cap dailies instead of lower level dailies. SO IT'S ACTUALLY MORE TP. USE YOUR BRAIN. :dash:

Also, you usually don't need as much TP on your secondary class. So EXP events are a good time to level your 2nd+ classes.

If they modified it so we got double or triple TP from Quests as well rather than just kills there would be no issue. I don't really care either way tbh. I like having an extra incentive to go farm the new instance.

THERE'S NO ISSUE BLARHADLFJDASLK

It's only less TP if you stop questing EVEN THOUGH YOU'RE TP STARVED in the short run.

Bah, I wrote a long post in support of the OP, but deleted it because...w/e. Those that get it, do, those that don't don't. This subject has been coming up forever. One would hope that GF would eventually get it straight that some people do not like the method they have chosen for their bonus EXP events. And, that if they could ever figure out how to boost the TP on quests without breaking the event there would be a lot more happy players.

The OP is obviously not at level cap....it makes a huuuuge difference.

What I was thinking, lol. I have a newer toon that used the last of her tickets last event and a new toon that's never had the chance to get any. While the event is fine without it makes things much easier with.

Though since I've gotten used to the 200%/500% events this feels more like a mini-event anyhow.

The lack of TP while building is a pain, but it comes with knowing that eventually the TP it feels like we're losing will be gained and skills can be built up, just a lil later on.

You guys are trolls you are losing tp and when you reach your max you will be wasting xp.
Since ppl like playing several classes I don't get the point of not making the amount of tp and xp the same from these events they did it back in the day.

16

Friday, April 28th 2017, 7:46pm

for the record the tp gained from quests wil not change...........therefore it is not in fact cut in half.
even if you do all quests available in game you will still need tp to max all skills.
the only way to get over this is to get max level and do dailies of highest level.
currently we get 10% of xp as tp. so no matter what you will end up with 10% of your total xp at max level.
i could provide numbers but im not gonna bother.
my advice is
1 get to max level and do your dailies this is only way to break the 10% margin.
2 buy reset tickets when on sale
3 farm tp on mobs when event is on.........(dreamland and high level instances are good for this)
4 use zodiac pet and quest tp pots for tp on quests when doing resets
not all my skills are maxed but i do have a lot of tp by doing those things.
1.1 billion is a rough number of what i have now.

now for the comment before this one........... i only remember this one time that it worked right around the start of ch 3........any other attempts by the publisher have resulted in broken ex and tp event.

so i ask you what do you want in reality..... a broken attempt or a higher rate on mob kills? (this is a great tp farm with tp pots and buffs)

All I got to say is imagine you get paid a set amount but you are aging 5 times faster than normal will you still get paid the same amount in the long run ?

This is the most terrible analogy I've ever heard and doesn't even remotely make any sense. Go away.

Picture this:

Assume Character level 82
Experience: 1.428.357.660 -> +83.664.000 to get to level 83.

Daily "spice Things Up" in Wailing Fjord (http://www.rom-welten.de/database/view.php?id=426417)
527,227XP/52,722TP per turnin.

159 daily turnins would be required to get to level 83.
this is a gain of 8,382,798 TP.

After such, I can start on the Jungle of Hortek daily "Nature's Medicine" (http://www.rom-welten.de/database/view.php?id=425690)
Which is 545,873XP/54,587TP per turnin.

Starting these dailies I now have 1,512,186,753XP, which I need 1.599.065.660 to advance to the next level, a gain required of 86,878,907.

This will require 160 dailies to get to 84.
This is a gain of 8,733,920TP

In total, I have purchased 31 daily reset tickets to get 17,116,712 TP and gain 2 levels (and I'd have 1 daily left over not counting the original 10 you get every day). I've done 319 dailies out of 320 possible. If I do the extra daily I would be at 17,171,299 TP.

---------------

Now, assuming a 250% XP event on quests, and that I'm not lazy, I can do MORE of the higher level dailies:

Daily "spice Things Up" in Wailing Fjord (http://www.rom-welten.de/database/view.php?id=426417)
527,227XP/52,722TP per turnin.
(+250% on XP makes me gain 1,318,067XP on each of these turn ins.)

At this rate, only 64 dailies would get me to level 83.
This is a gain of 3,374,208TP.

Now I am level 83 and I can go suck on Nature's Medicine.. I still have 255 dailies.

Jungle of Hortek daily "Nature's Medicine" (http://www.rom-welten.de/database/view.php?id=425690)
Which is 545,873XP/54,587TP per turnin.
(+250% on XP makes this worth 1,364,682XP per)

Starting the next level I have 1,512,713,948 XP, I need 1,599,065,660 to get to the next level, a gain required of 86,351,712.

At this rate, only 64 dailies would be required to get to level 84.
I've gained 3,493,568 TP.

I've done the two dailies I've done above but I still have 192 dailies left. I've gained 6,867,776 TP..

BUT, alas! I'm a higher level with more daily quest tickets left, I can do more dailies. Let's keep crunching on the Nature's Medicine

Right now I have 1,600,053,596 XP. I need 1.689.624.660 to get to level 85, a gain required of 89,571,064 XP.

I would need 66 dailies here to get to 85.
I've gained another 3,602,742 TP. That's 10,470,518 TP total. I have 126 dailies left.

Another round with these dailies.

I have 1,690,122,608 XP, I need 1.783.840.660 to get to 86. That's a gain of 93,718,052 required.

I'd have to do 69 dailies to get there.
That's a gain of 3,766,503 TP.

I'm at level 86, with 1,784,285,666 XP, a gain of 14,237,021 TP and I have 57 dailies left.

Being a higher level, I can go suck on a Salioca Basin daily, worth normally 564,013XP/56,401TP per turn in.

Assuming I suck down all 57 of my daily tickets I have left on this daily, I would gain an additional 3,214,857 TP, putting me at 17,451,878 TP total.

For those not keeping up:

WITHOUT XP EVENT I WOULD BE AT 17,171,299 TP OVER 320 DAILIES
WITH THE 250% XP EVENT I WOULD BE AT 17,451,878 TP OVER 320 DAILIES

That's a gain of 280,579 TP.

Done. End of story. As long as you are not lazy and you proceed with your appropriate level dailies and do the same amount with and without XP event, you will actually come out on top. NOT lose TP.
