Level Cap

I thought it was an extended April Fool's day prank but alas guess not.

Come on raising the cap 1 level? That's less than an hours worth of time.

Guess someone forgot to use the correct int, we are stuck until someone figures out how to fix it.

Would you have preferred 2 levels so it was 2 hours worth of time? :p

What matters is the content that comes out with a level increase, not the increase itself, and the amount of content was the same as every other time.

Of note: Make sure you know what you're referring to before making such a statement.

There is no standard C or C++ INT types that do not allow numbers to be addressed higher than 99. The smallest number that can be addressed via a standard C or C++ INT type is a short int, which can be up to 32,767. Unless the SQL database limits it with a tinyint, which can only be 255.

We've had level cap increases of only 1 level previously, this is nothing new.

Lol. Leveling to cap is just a small barrier of entry. Making it take longer to hit level cap is detrimental in my opinion.

P.S. I hold the belief this is one of the reasons of the popularity of MOBAs. Very low entry barrier compared to MMOs.

P.P.S. Didn't WoW do something about buying levels? When Blizzard does something, there's a good reason for it most of the time.

Content that everyone is already tired grinding because it is of no real value.

How about they release a patch that fixes some of the bugs that have been around for years? And closing up those "exploits"?

Oh! I didn't get the memo. I guess I have to stop playing now. Don't worry, I'll let everyone else know too.

2nd statement is wishful thinking :)

You don't need a memo... Just look at the server population. Or lack of

Well less players means, less strain on the servers, so less crashes, also less tickets to fix for support. Less GM's activity also which gives them more time to do something else :P Less good sales and even less good items to buy, so it is a win win situation when you look at it from a community stand point, just make it even less and less reasonable to stay in game.

Sadly i prefer to spend my money when it makes sense to me and to be able to have fun in the game. I just wonder how long will they keep the server online for the US servers still and what package they would give players to join another of their great game and community there :D

It just make me sad that people are still hitting the wall with their heads on this issue, so sad

LOL. Most of the people that have been actually doing level cap content are still playing. Majority of people who quit still had a lot of content to clear. It seems Grotto is the cut of point since Pillars of Morfan was a crazy jump from Grotto (500k defenses to almost 1m defenses.)

Basically there's PILLARS OF MORFAN, CRYPT OF ETERNITY, HALL OF EARTH/WATER/FIRE/CHAOS, VEILED CRYPT, BONE PEAK, MADRO TROLLS NEST, RAVEN HEART, VALE OF RITES, ICE BLADE PLATEAU still to experience for the MAJORITY of people.

Pretty sure "US First" clears are still available for Veiled Crypt and maybe one of the Halls.

BUT BUT, some of those aren't worth doing... well pick where to start.

Sadly i prefer to spend my money when it makes sense
and to spend your time on the forums of a game that you quit. You're like that person who won't get over their ex...

hmmmmmm seems to me noone on us side cleared chaos vortex either.
the truth of the failing population is really quite simple.
some bugs have been in game for years with no fix.
some bad things happened with frogster near the end of their time and gameforge has a bad item shop and selection of avaialable items in the shop.
example......... adv bind lifters being removed from the shop. this was the first real drop in population as it makes zero sense to remove the only item to unbind ini gear. this lead to an auction house with no gear and we still have not recovered.
why we didnt recover is due to the fact that so many end gamers left then leaving mid gamers to try and fill the void. some of us actually progressed to be much closer to end game but lack of population takes it toll on the in game economy.
then add the great duping fiasco and we have a game that could have rivaled some of the biggest mmos out there start to fizzle out.
for me personally my issue is my isp has real bad latency issues that make playing a crap shoot.
just ask my guildies.........they have wiped more than i care because i have ping spikes of 5k or more every 5 mins or so.
we also have some serious class balancing needed to make this game more about having a well rounded group rather that say 1 tank 1 healer and 4 dps of all the same combo.
then we have some ninja changes..... honor points is 1 example. i know of at least 25 people that quit at that point. i lost 250k
many things lead up to the population being as low as it is and i highly doubt it was 1 level cap raise.
60 to 62 was one and 62 to 65 was another. same idea but not 1 level. a few levels and new zone vs 1 lvl and new zone.

i will leave this here for you to decide what the real reason for population drop.
even with actual facts some players will complain regardless of what the facts prove.

Don't get me wrong. I agree the game is in a bad shape. I also agree is mostly has to do with the dev's and the publisher's management.

But NOT because the level cap was only 1 level. Or because we need another level cap now.
