Drop rate boost- REALLY??

There is a 100% drop rate boost announced for the weekend, so we can get "shiny new gear". The only shiny new gear we are really looking for , and the only stuff we are not likely to see doubled is the purple gear from the bosses. High level payers are not going looking for blues and certainly not greens, except for the stats attached to them. It is true that the bag stats have increased in "power" significantly in the archipelago, but we need a doubling of the purple gear off the bosses. Neither Frogster nor GF has ever done that during a drop-rate boost. Someone give me a reason to get excited about this

FALSE! This is the best time to farm t6 items to make your new weapons. With the last drop rate event i was getting around 70+ t6 items in Ice Blade Plateau Easy Mode. This is just from the mobs up to first boss and per each run.

It is also a good opporuntiy for high level players to make gold or get stuff for alts without having to invest a lot of time.

Agreed and one should not forget that 100% drop rate boost does not mean the item you want will always drop. It actually only doubles ( if it's 100% ), the chance for it to drop. So if said item has 9% chance to drop, it was boosted at 18% during event.
