Runes of Magic US / AU

I'm at an impass here:

Currently I'm 55/55 R/S.
I have roughly 5300 patt and am sitting at 11.4k hp.
Mind you this is with all white gear with 2 dirty stats. All my gear is X or XI, including a set of wings with 6 clean stats.

I have a t6 dagger, level 55 blue.
I use a fully stated dagger offhand, and a tier 6 blue xbow (I read above post, might swap that out for my other bow but I really like the crits with my shot).

Where do I go from here? I'll be starting instance runs this week and looking for new gear but I'm afraid the payoff will be limited because my cash flow is now nil, no mas, zip! So I have tokens to use to purchase puri's, but that will be slow (no complaints just stating).

I'm assuming I just take my time now and get one piece of gear at a time and stat it up fully with 6 stats, clean. And moreso, go for yellow?

The limited part starts with what do I ditch? I have a feeling I'll see a slight decrease in patt while I'm working on upping my gear. Do I wear purples with no stats and use them as is? Or just save them and stat them up then put them on? Most of the purples give a ton of hp but I think I'm sitting ok right now.

Any advice would be great
Reaching 10k patt would be my goal for now; so would that mean mixing in patt stats or simply going with all dex and stam?

why you dont use Sneak attack ? given at lvl 18 ?

i dunno what to do, i need you people give me a suggestion..

i have a Mage Priest and a Rouge Scout, and i dunno wich one i should lvl up....
what do u suggest me ?

Sneak Attack really isn't useful for R/S waste of TP you need to be out of combat to use it, only place i could see it being useful is in PvP vs mage or priest, in which case you would use it for the stun, not the damage, its also 30 energy which isnt cheap to use just for a 3 sec stun.

As far as Dr Smooth's post when stating if you want 10k PA stack as many Cruel/razor as you can and also use some barb VI to get you starting don't be afraid to use those lower stats, the gear you make in hoto will not be permanent if you plan to play past there which i highly suggest

that is SO TRUE!!it could have been such great skill!!but its just completely useless!its requirements are just pointless (not in combat and behind enemy?), that means that you'll only use it against low lvl mobs, not mid nor high, why?well because you dont want to get too close to groups of mobs that can hit you hard (not with your squishy defense and abscence of any AoE) "a r/s" speaking... you will always work the mob pulling one by one with shot or vampiric to get close enough to destroy him with your amazing and depravate burst dps, and ALL that makes sneak attack just something that developers invented to fullfill a little empty space...lol

Hello. I'm a scout addict, and I've been playing a scout ever since I played this game. However, after seeing some r/s using shot, a crazy idea occured to me.... Is it possible to play an r/s with using only 1 skill ~ shot... and out dps a scout?

Way I see it...

Gains:
An offhand to stat (which can easily give over 1k phys attack)
20% more phys attack from strength
30% more phys attack from dexterity (I can get around a 2k increase in phys attack right now if I went from s/k to r/s)
Nimble hands
Premeditation
Informer
Fervent attack (which I'm not sure affects shot speed)
Deadly shot elite (+30 passive increased crit rate to shot)
Combat master elite (+60 crit rate and +60% crit damage)
Coerce (21.8% more damage when target is less than 30% hp)
and a bunch of other cool stuff a rogue can do that a scout cannot like shadow step, shadow prison, sprint, etc.

Lose:
target area (60 crit)
combo shot (258% weapon dps x 3 hits in 1 second.... every 8 seconds)
eagle eyes (115 crit)
ranged weapon master (19.5% weapon damage)
auto shot (50% of shot damage)


A thing I have to say is,... the strongest burst I can do as a scout is whenever I pop my 5 min (15% faster attack speed) and a stimulant (15% faster attack speed) OR popping just a strong stimulant (25% faster attack speed). This lets me use only shot and auto shot for a straight 15 or 30 seconds. I'm hoping that I will be able to duplicate this effect, albeit permanently, with a piercing battle bow (2.8 sec speed) and nimble hands. Atm, I'm using a bloody long bow (3 sec speed).

Another thing, shot is a scout's single best skill. No cooldown, NO GLOBAL COOLDOWN (when I do my burst, I actually fire more than 1 shot/second), no cost, just an arrow. This means I can purely use just shot, and have full energy for permanent shadow prison, or other things.

what ever you do don't switch to r/s to shoot your bow and CC stuff lol...its not a good idea, with my t9 BLB speed shooting and nimble hands maxed i hit with shot for ~10k and i cant use it nearly as fast as my scout which hits harder and faster with more skills, R/S...S/R are both great classes and its even better you can siwtch at your liking, and also you would be loosing a stat slot to your S/R side which can stat 2 daggers/swords. You will find your R/S using rogue skills far far out dps's your R/S shooting a bow, your bow is just there to fill in the middle and keep your sustained dps high.

I have a attack speed 2 with my current bow and i can spam shot faster then disarment, reroll r/k to r/s and im loving it (just missing my knight atm. but r/s can dps way more with rogue skills.

but it would be cool if he just stands in one spot and spam shot xD

ahaha, didnt really want to play rogue, just wanted to play a ranged dpser. well, if r/s cant outdps an s/k with shot, then no reason for me to switch... for now maybe if 3rd class comes out tho, jus for fun.

I'm using this char build at the moment and I'm quite enjoying it- Dioxide 26/23 at the moment, on Grimdal US and I have a few questions.

1) I don't understand what "Holding DPS" is. Like, I understand DPS means Damage Per Second.. but I don't understand the concept. I'm actually not sure what Aggro is either (monster focus vs. damage?) as I've never played WoW or any other wow clones. Explain?

2) How useful is Shot? I only really use it at the same time I use Vamp Arrows- to pull spawns or sneak in a little extra damage. How is it useful in combination with the "Holding DPS" concept?

3) Is the attack speed skill worth it? It seems to be only worth like 2% + .1% per level.

Is combat master 60 or 60% crit rate increase?

Are you guys mainly using clean stated over dura vhastos? Also what are some decent daggers to get ~50 to help me out? I have heard the naga daggers are decent. I am currently transmuting ~50ish gear with 2 duties and 4X or V yellow stats (fang,barb) to bring my gear up to a decent level. Also is the 5p clops set worth it or am I further ahead with overdura clean gear?

From the Gear 55+ "Get a Green short blade or if lucky a Al-Lanja Assassin's blade t7-t8" Would you recommend green short blade as OH and al-lanja as MH, if so what should these items cost from players? I know an OH stat stick is depending on stats.

couple questions, how does a R/S sustained DPS compare to a R/K if you have a tiered up bow and how much dex do u need to start doin the really sweet shitt that you do? Right now im a R/k at 15.5k pattk, 4.1k dex and 19k hps. I dont have a chest piece or wings statted.

As far as statting goes the 3 best stats that are easily farmable for me are fright cruel and eruption thats pretty much a base to all my pieces. that a good start and what else do i need to start throwin on my pieces. Goal is to hit 5k dex

I just started playing Runes of Magic and I was wondering how stat points work and what area should stat points be used in on a R/S. I'm guessing Dex but is that all?

Are r/s, r/k or m/p better solo end game boss farmers? I have all three classes and am curious to your opinions.
