Warden/Scout or Warden/Rogue

Looking for opinions, i'm a returning player and i want to start fresh. Both seem to be fun, and i hear that wardens got buffed nicely since i last played.

*edit* i found out about the tri-class system. I actually dont want to go Wd/R/S, i'd rather go either Wd/W/S or Wd/W/R, i'm leaning more towards the former simply because i like scouts more than rogues.

If you go Wd/W/SorR you should get ready to get 2 sets of gear. Both Wd/S and Wd/R are really good PvE wise.

wardens got some huge love since uve been gone. enough so that a chap 2 toon i made for storage has become my new primary toon.

wd/s apparently has insane dps with chiron getting beefy and the ability to carry a stat stick bow. wd being melee class u could carry a tiered bow, but i think i would stat a bow with str/stam/patk and not worry too much about using shot.

dont think i would play wd/r. possibly r/wd as anything rogue is currently ...errr..en vogue :P

wd/w is what i play now. its fun and lvl 40 elite lets u wear plate. being as knights just got turned into weak dps'rs instead of tanks, wd/w is a nice tank build that is a lot more fun then landing holy strikes. ull have to read up on it in these forums, it has been discussed to death so i wont reinvent the wheel here.

so from ur choices i would pick wd/s, rom added the ability to add 3rd class as well so u can add rogue in the mix later if u want. tho a wd/s/d would probably give u great dps toon (s/wd) and a sweet heal toon (d/s)

welcome back, dont forget to take a loan out to buy dias to gear ur new toon :)

If you were Wrd/W/R. My guess is that you would outfit a chain set patk build and go W/Wrd or W/R for dps.

If you were Wrd/W/S. I still believe W/wrd would be better dps than Wrd/s, and you could easily go s/wrd in leather as well as a viable dps.

That's PVE though.

I find that Wardens are a solid hybrid helper class and not pure dps. No way a class should have massive pdef increases and be top of the dps charts. I find my warrior/warden still superior for outright dps
Chapter 1 50/50 R/P, 45/35 K/R
Chapter 2 54/36 M/S
Chapter 3 62/62 W/Wrd
Chapter 4 67/67/55 Wrd/W/S

Time to restat the Warden. TOO many possibilities :)

Wardens DEFINITELY got a boost from the last time I tried to play one. Messing around with Wd/S now. Actually I plan on playing S/Wd, but leveling my Wd side has been fun. The ridiculous thing is the Chiron pet...I literally have almost NO gear Wd side (yes, not even a *weapon*)...maybe 3 pieces of gear (wings and rings or something) that are usable, and I'm able to do quests easily. Don't really feel like gearing up 2 toons pre-55 so I only have my 55+ scout-side gear on my 50 Warden...pet *still* does insane damage LOL :D

Edit: Oh, and I haven't spent a single talent point on the pet...only put tp into the general skills for use on scout side.

You'Re right, m/k s/k r/k and w/k are all way down on the dps chart....

Also, by using Heart of the Oak you're nerfing your own DPS, so you cant really have max DPS AND good Pdef unlike all those Enhanced Armor users.

Wd CAN be high in the dps chart if you play it right, use your pets, and actually add your pet's damage to you own. Gotta use the right food/pots to maximize your dps.

I have outdpsed a lot of classes in RT when i was tanking. I've recently outdpsed a W/Wd in RT and he has about 10k more pattack unbuffed and he was using a hero pot and i wasnt.

Just because a wd/w is a tank doesn't mean that it isn't supposed to do damage. It is quite the opposite actually. A tank needs DPS to hold aggro from his team that's why a tank is expensive to gear, because he needs to out gear his party to hold aggro. The fact that you can out dps a w/wd means that ur doing the right thing :3

so i ended up rolling a wd/w/s. I love s/wd and wd/s but i'm starting to wonder if i should have rolled Rogue because i hear great things about wd/r, r/wd, r/w, and especially w/r (compared to w/s and s/w...)

Wd/S

For 2 important fact, aside elite skills discussion.

1) The extra bow slot is priceless, extra dex, extra crit, and few thousands HP and pattack.

2) Wd/S Special Pet, aka Chiron hit very very ridiculously extremely hard.

Wd/R, I played one up to lv55 and .............meh......not to great, i leave it at that.
