K/R 1 hand + sheild , Dual Weild,or 2 Hand

Does the K/R dual welid, use 2 hand swords or sword and sheild

I think the only time a K/r would go dual wield is maybe PvP or Mob soloing/farming. The dropping of the shield is not something I would suggest if tanking. I've heard rumors of K/w doing it but have never seen it..... but then again I see no need for 2 knights in a party either.:p

if you want to dual weild as a k/r endgame it IS possible, yuo just have to stat for it, you will need to use a couple more pdef stats to make up for the shield as well as use some stam/dex for dodge(since you will use dodge skill to tank as opposed to shield skills.

is it worth it? ...could go either way really...I have yet to see one do it, however I am interested in the results, if you decide to go that route please let us know how it works out, I'm a fan of people using unorthodox methods:cool:

dps doesnt increase by verry much ...yawaka guard offhand gives you a bit more aggro + additional hatred rune even more. But u'll want a macro to switch to shield n cast WWS XD Its certainly not worth +ing and statting an offhand weap INSTEAD of a shield ;)

k/w does quite well with a 2h axe, especially since its got the mastery,-again macro to switch to shield.


i dont recommend it for endgame stuff unless ur sure its a burn since most of your panic-skills require a shield to be casted and you loose quite a bit of pdef. (And there is no limit to how much pdef you should have XD i'd rather throw out any old x/hp stat then one x/def )

I agree, If I were to play a tank I'd stack as much pdef as I could, on at least 4/6 stats.

high amount of hp is sweet, but an absurd amount of pdef is even sweeter :D

4 is a bit hard to get if youre going for useful stats - unless Varanas Nightmare is just run by only 1 guild on your server and you're in it? ^^

3 is good enough. (Sta/Pdef GC(normal) / Sta/Pdef Crimson / Sta/Pdef Bunker - 4th would be Sta/Pdef Dreamland (only on tank shield and Cape in VN ) - rather hard to get if youre not alone in VN ) the next lesser would be Sta/Pdef temple which is a bit low with 76/418

The answer is no K/r should not dual wield. The extra damage from the off-hand is not really noticable. You lose too much pdef from a good stat'ed shield to make using an offhand worth it. 1h + Shield is best.

I tried using 2 T9 swords (juggler's and a starblade) both with hatred VII's. The aggro was very nice for lower instance bosses, but anything RT and up you start getting hit too hard without your shield.

I have recently switched to K/s and I can say there is no comparision. I have a bow of assembled parts. The bow itself provides an additional 1000-1200 pa attack before tiering and stating. The bow also lets me equip a extra hatred rune without sacrificing my shield. Enhanced holy strike more than makes up for any damage I would have had with 2 weapons. :D

Was 67k/67m/55r and I am now 67k/67m/45s
