I've been a S/W since chapter 2. Lots of people stray away from the warrior subclass because they do not want to deal with rage management.

IMO the elites make it a beautiful combo. Ever since item set skills its been absolutely painless to develop the needed rage with "Energy Restore" and the long durations of the skills requiring rage compared to the cooldown on energy restore.

rage was and never will be an issue for s/w. i was wondering if the dps is viable because s/w have to use wind arrows a lot due to lack of elite dps skills.

The 40/40 elite increases the damage done by combo shot significantly.

The 35/35 elite increases all the physical damage you (and your party) deal to your target by 10%.

I fail to see how these are not elite dps skills :)

The elite skills for focus regeneration make spamming wind arrows no issue. We use them more than other scouts, but hardly rely on them as anything other than filler.

As for the PA boost and viability in new zone, ill let you know when they release the numbers for the mob's defenses in the new zone. Otherwise, everything discussed on it would be pure speculation.

those improve dps they arent dps skills...
go ahead and use mental focus...lose out on blood arrow
have you even played s/w at end game before?
wind arrows has a way lower dps % than most other skills. other scout/? have elites dps SKILLS that allow them to not have to use wind arrows. i was wondering if the boost in pa makes up for the lack of skills to use

Your lack of knowledge toward changes to the game in the past year lead me to believe perhaps you've been out of the ROM loop for a while.

Like I said above, which you probably didnt read, I have play a S/W since chapter 2. Am 67/67 and have a blast every day with the endgame content, and get approx 200 kills per night in siege.

But since you want to be aggressive toward someone who has the first hand experience to answer the questions you have about the class combo... well tough luck now. I bid you good day. :D

I am a s/w and s/r, unless something is changed, the patk bonus is not worth it, even with combo shot enhanced, the other scouts get higher damage skills with a short cooldown while we are forced to use wind arrows. You could choose to be s/w to help your raid party for target lock though :P

Also if blood arrow is not active, you should always be using mental focus and spam wind arrows while other skills are on cooldown because it does more damage then shot. Only use shot 1 time to get the patk bonus.

If you're looking to do top single target dps as a s/w, you would be strongly mistaken. After the first few skills in the combo (which berserk would make hit harder), you don't have the ability to use as many higher dps % skills. S/W's target lock is invaluable though.

If you are looking for first place on scrut, you aren't gonna get it as s/w. S/Wd has the ability to use higher dps % skills all the time and gets a patk boost in savage power.

If you are looking to help party damage, s/r and s/w are both good. In all honesty, these combos are all useful.

Having swapped to S/W 3 times since I started playing, I would say that S/R's more useful. I never liked S/W. It looks good on paper, but then you play it, and you realise there's better and more useful scouts. BUT! If you have other Scouts in the party, particularly a S/R, then you're golden. S/W can do some pretty good DPS with a S/R in the party, and S/R can do massive DPS with other scouts. So it's win-win in that case. S/W will never be top Scout, but it's pretty close. S/Wd, S/R and S/W are still all good Scouts to be.

Im currently S/R/Wd.

I've only been s/w since ch4, was s/m before that since ch2. s/w is way better dps than s/m I can say that. Haven't seen enough s/r since they all went r/s, so not really sure. s/wd is just broken and insane imo, with shoot being about the same as shot spam was for scouts in ch3. If I were elf I'd be s/wd (or druid since you can't always find runs, lol).

Also... don't go by the dps% stated on wind arrow, in reality it seems to hit much much harder. The stated dps% on my WA (+55 I think) is only about half of the stated dps on my RS+67, yet in actual testing WA does about 80% of the RS dmg... so not that much lower.

I haven't been using BA as much in ch4 (I used it every boss in ch3), and I find that mental focus + concentration = only time I have focus issues is when I forget to pop those... and I don't even have shot on my hotbar, and only use snipe when I'm pulling or when solo. So just with the main dps skills + WA as filler, I have no problems.
